Buzz Lightyear is the titular main protagonist of Buzz Lightyear of Star Command.
In the TV series, he is voiced by Patrick Warburton. In the movie Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins, he is voiced by Tim Allen, who also voiced his toy counterpart.
Phyical Appearance[]
Buzz is a light tan-skinned man who primarily dresses in a green and white spacesuit with a purple jumpsuit underneath.
His appearence is relatively the same as his toy counterpart, although his buttons are conjoined together as apposed to being seperate and the green button's colour is replaced by yellow, and his jetpack is very smaller and has no visible push buttons for his retracting helmet.
He is never seen not wearing his cap, so its unknown whether he has hair or not.
Powers, Abilities and Skills[]
Counted among the most skilled Rangers to ever serve, Buzz is an extremely competent leader and fighter, being a natural strategist and tactician who adapts well in the heat of the moment. Buzz is a skilled hand-to-hand fighter even without the aid of his suit's functions, so much that even his former partner Warp Darkmatter requires the aid of his enhancements to keep up in a fight against him. Buzz is also an excellent spy, having successfully acted in the persona of Shiv Katall effectively many times.
In addition to Buzz's wrist-mounted laser, he of the weapons he can wield is a small blaster that is capable of blowing robots to pieces. He can also sprout wings from his spacesuit in order to fly.
He also is capable of flying a variety of vehicles throughout outer space as well as riding rockets.
Biography[]
The series begins with Buzz opening his mission log about a gaseous planet he arrives on, having found no forms of any intelligent life when he gets blinded by light by his partner. Buzz promptly puts on his visor for a bit before continuing his investigation on the planet. After finishing his search, Buzz rides with his partner in the buggy with three little green men coming along.
Buzz also believes the disappearance of the three aliens' friends was the work of his archnemesis Zurg, also the main foe of the Galactic Alliance. Just then Buzz and his partner were attacked by a trio of serpentine alien beasts called crater vipers, prompting them to take action against these monsters. However Buzz watches the little green men walk into a crater, much to his irritation.
Buzz attempts to follow, only to be ensnared by one of the beasts. After managing to break free, Buzz proceeds to blast away one targeting the alien trio. Later on, when most of the personnel in Star Command get brainwashed, Buzz retreats with the characters that formed the main cast of the cartoon.
