Calcetín con Rombos Man (Spanish for Sock with Rhombus Man), also known as César Quintanilla in his normal life, is a major character in the Chilean children's program 31 Minutos while also serving as the titular protagonist of his own segment.

He's a superhero that lives in Ciudad Comoda and defends the rights of the children of the world, with his segment always ending with Rombos Man mentioning one of the children's rights that's usually related to each one of his adventures.

Appearance[]

César is a black sock with red and green diamonds with white lines. When he is doing his superhero duty, Rombos Man wears white or transparent swimming goggles to hide his identity. When using his Gigantosis power, Rombos Man becomes a giant taller than any building in Tokyo, he also grew two arms while his goggles turned into a blue domino mask.

Biography[]

Origin[]

César Quintanilla was born long ago (possibly in some year between 1593 and 1816) in the Galapagos Islands, he was created in a sock factory alongside his brother Ramón, who later proposed to escape the factory in order to travel and see the world. Jumping out the window, the two brothers began to travel the world, including Tibet, New York, Greece and Egypt. Living in the time of pirates and rum, the brothers were separated when a peg leg pirate bought the two socks, but discarded César and kept Ramón, as he only had one foot, leaving César alone.

Now alone, sad, and seemingly without a future, César found the "Academia Superior de Superhéroes (Superior Superhero Academy)", where a veteran Rombos Man was his teacher. He studied "Superheroism" and ended up graduating with honors thanks to his thesis where he discussed the rights of children. Years later, César started living in a drawer of Ciudad Cómoda in Chile and soon adopted the identity of "Calcetín con Rombos Man" following the retirement of the original bearer of the title.

Trivia[]
