Calvin Joyner is the main protagonist of the 2016 film Central Intelligence.
He was portrayed by Kevin Hart, who also played Franklin "Mouse" Finbar in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Jumanji: The Next Level, Snowball in The Secret Life of Pets and it's sequel The Secret Life of Pets 2, Darnell Lewis in Get Hard, George Beard in Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie, Ace in DC League of Super-Pets, and Roland in Borderlands.

In 1996, star athlete Calvin "The Golden Jet" Joyner is honored at the school assembly. However, his speech is interrupted by a group of jocks throwing fat geek Robbie Weirdicht into the gymnasium naked, causing everyone except Calvin and his girlfriend Maggie to laugh at him. Out of sympathy for Robbie, Calvin gives him his varsity jacket so he can cover up his private parts.
Present Day[]
20 years later, Calvin is married to Maggie and working at an office which he hates. He suddenly gets an email from someone named Bob Stone, who wants to meet at a bar. Calvin meets Bob at the bar and finds out that he's actually his old friend Robbie Weirdicht, who has now lost weight, became muscle-bound, and renamed himself "Bob Stone". Bob asks Calvin if he can spend the night at his apartment, to which Calvin obliges. The next morning, Bob disappears just as CIA officials led by Agent Pamela Harris break in trying to arrest him. Harris tells Calvin that Bob listed him as his emergency contact and asks him to notify if Bob contacts him again.
Bob kidnaps Calvin at his office and explains that he's really a CIA agent and that he was framed by the a terrorist called "The Black Badger" for stealing satellite encrypted codes and killing his partner, Phil Stanton. Calvin escapes and calls Maggie to meet at Dr. Dan's office for couples therary. Harris intercepts Calvin and tells him that Bob is in fact the Black Badger and killed Phil to cover his tracks. She gives Calvin a button that would alert them of his and Bob's location when pressed. Calvin meets Maggie at Dr. Dan's office, only to freaked out that it's actually Bob disguised as Dr. Dan. After Maggie leaves, Bob reveals he tied up the real Dr. Dan in a closet and Calvin threatens to press the button. Although before he does, Bob convinces Calvin that he's innocent and that they can clear his name by catching the real Black Badger. Calvin reluctantly agrees to help Bob and they meet Trevor Olson, Bob's old bully and now a bank manager, to get the offshore account for the multi-million auction that the Black Badger is attending. Trevor initially apologizes to Bob for the prank he pulled on him senior year, but then reveals he's not sorry at all and starts gloating about it. Calvin urges Bob to teach Trevor a lesson, but Bob, overcome with trauma about his past, chooses to leave instead. However, Calvin is forced to betray Bob when Harris threatens to arrest Maggie for her affiliation with him and Bob. Bob is then arrested and tortured for information, but Calvin eventually saves Bob.
They get to the auction to recover the satellite codes that the Black Badger intends to sell to the highest bidder. Bob enters pretending to be the Black Badger and shoots Calvin in the neck to keep him out of harm's way, Calvin fortunately surviving. Suddenly, Phil shows up at the auction revealing that he's the Black Badger and that he faked his death to frame Bob. Calvin recovers the codes and ends up in a standoff between Bob and Phil over a bridge. However, Calvin distracts Phil with his "Golden Jet Flip" allowing Bob to rip his throat out and kill him.
With Bob's name cleared, he and Calvin attend their high school reunion where Calvin sabotages the votes so that Bob wins homecoming king and finally stands up to Trevor for his bullying, punching him out. Later, Maggie gets pregnant and as she and Calvin prepare for their unborn child, Bob comes by and gives Calvin his jacket back.
