Candace Gertrude Flynn, better known 2nd Candace or Candace-2, is a major character in the 2011 Disney Channel animated film Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension and the main protagonist of its 2014 episode sequel "Tales of the Resistance: Return to the Second Dimenison" in the animated series Phineas and Ferb. She is the 2nd Dimension counterpart of Candace Flynn who led the Resistance against the 2nd Doofenshmirtz family reign over the 2nd Dimension's Tri-State Area.
Like her first dimension counterpart, she is voiced by Ashley Tisdale (who also played Sharpay Evans in High School Musical and Maddie Fitzpatrick in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody) and by Dan Povermine in her parsnip allergy voice.
Unlike her 1st Dimension counterpart, Candace doesn't display the typical behavior of a teenage girl, although it is presumed that she eventually does after the film's events. They do, however, share certain personality traits. Such traits include their controlling attitude, which she carries more of as the leader of the opposition, and her defiance and resilience, which has under separate circumstances molded her differently into a separate person. She is obsessed with overthrowing Doofenshmirtz the same way her first dimension counterpart is with getting her brothers grounded. As said by her to the first dimension Candace during an exchange in the mine carts: "He is going down, down, down!"
She is earnestly devoted to the safety of everyone she cares about, particularly her brothers, Phineas and Ferb, and is terrified of losing them. For that reason, she'd even prohibited them from joining the Resistance for their own safety until they proved their ability.
As warm and protective as she is to those close to her, she is cold and ruthless towards those who threaten them and lives her life with the determination of their pursuit and destruction. That includes the ruthless Doofenshmirtz family of her dimension.
Appearance[]
Candace is physically identical to her 1st Dimension counterpart, aside from her apparel and more physically inclined due to her occupation (broader shoulders, a more built chest and a slimmer waist). When at home, she wears the standard issued white shirt and 'dooferalls'. When on duty, she wears a low-cut sleeveless black turtleneck that bared her midriff, a black skirt, black shoes with black stockings (which appear as really tall boots), a black bandana, and a pair of black sunglasses, which she most probably wears to hide her emotions during combat. She carries around a satchel and wears a utility belt around her waist.
As of Tales of the Resistance she later switched her aformentioned turtleneck with red tank top as her 1st Dimension counterpart, symbolizing her gradual adjustment to normal teenage life.

Background[]
Candace was born in the 2nd Dimension's Danville to Linda Flynn around the same time as the 1st Dimension Candace and had a brother named Phineas. At some point, her mother married Lawrence Fletcher which gave Candace and Phineas a stepbrother named Ferb. The blanded family adopted a pet platypus named Perry, who, much like the Perry from the first dimension, was secretly an O.W.C.A (Organization Without a Cool Acronym) agent assigned to stop the 2nd Dimension's Heinz Doofenshmirtz from taking over the Tri-State. However, as the O.W.C.A understimated Doofenshmirtz, Perry was defeated and transformed into a ruthless cyborg called Platyborg to serve as Doofenshmirtz's general enforcer in charge of the Norm-Bots.
After the O.W.C.A was deflunct and Doofenshmirtz succeeded in taking over the Tri-State Area, Candace eventually took matters into her own hands and founded the Resistance in rebellion against Doofenshmirtz's reign, during which she studied martials arts, hand-to-hand combat and bo staff fighting. Unfortunately, the Resistance had little to no success in taking down Doofenshmirtz as his reign lasted for 5 years.
Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension[]
Candace is first seen ignoring the presence of the 1st Diemension's Phineas and Ferb, who traveled the 2nd Dimension and met their doppelgangers. Later, both pairs were saved from a Norm-Bot by 2nd Buford and brought to the Resistance's lair where they find out Candace is the leader. As they succeed in opening Phineas-1 and Ferb-1's remote portal back to their dimension, they suddenly see a broadcast about the 1st Dimension's Perry being captured by Doofenshmirtz to be turned into a cyborg. Candace reluctantly agrees to help the alternate versions of her brothers rescue their Perry just as they are joined by the 1st Dimension's Candace, who came through a portal opened by the remote.
As the Resistance and the 1st-Dimension Flynn-Fletcher siblings sneak back into 2nd Doofenshmirtz Incorporated HQ to rescue Perry, they walk into a trap surrounded by Norm-Bats. They nearly manage to escape on a mine's railroad, but the cart started catching fire from attacks by both Norm-Bots and Platyborg. To save her own brothers from being captured, Candace unhinges the cart's bolts leaving the the 1st Dimension Flynn-Fletcher siblings and Perry-1 to be captured by Doofenshmirtz. Feeling guilty for betraying them, Candace later breaks in and rescues them and the 1st Dimension's Doofenshmirtz from being fed to a goozim over a lava pit and throws Phineas-1 his remote, allowing them to escape through portals. She was captured and locked in a cell for doing so, but was later broken by her brothers and the 2nd Dimension's Jeremy Johnson. After Doofenshmirtz was arrested and Platyborg was freed from his evil programming, returning home as 2nd Perry, Candace thanked the 1st Dimensions' characters for finally defeating Doofenshmirtz and says goodbye.
Tales of the Resistance: Return to the 2nd Dimension[]
Five months following Doofenshmirtz's arrest, Candace kept getting suspicious as no futher Doofenshmirtz activity has happened. While on a picnic with her brothers and Perry in the park, they are suddenly attacked by giant mechanical ants and the O.W.C.A animal agents, who have been transformed into cyborgs just like Perry. After Perry was captured by the cyborg animal agents, Candace calls Major Francis Monogram, the head of O.W.C.A, and tells him that she suspects Doofenshmirtz is behind the attack, but Monogram is skeptical since Doofenshmirtz is still in his cell and even mentions having played checkers with him.
Still suspicious, Candace visits Doofenshmirtz in prison and accuses him of sending out the attack on the park. Despite denying the accusation, Doofenshmirtz reveals that his "ex-wife" Charlene is really the one behind it. Candace then temporarily breaks Doofenshmirtz out since they need his DNA to bypass the biometric scans to access the penthouse. As they confront Charlene, it's revealed that Charlene and Doofenshmirtz are still married and faked their divorce so Charlene wouldn't be arrested along with her husband. Moreover, the attack on the park and Perry's kidnapping were all diversions to trick the Resistance into freeing Doofenshmirtz. Charlene then summons her cyborg army to capture Phineas, Candace and Perry and lock them in a cell as the couple prepares to retake control over the Tri-State Area.
Fortunately, Ferb frees his family by pretending he was turned into a cyborg by Charlene and leads the Resistance into freeing the animal agents from their evil programming with fedora hats containing evil-neutralizating chips in them. After the animal agents were all freed from their programming (except Peter the Pandaborg), Candace defeats Charlene in a bo staff fight and has the animal agents surround the couple at gunpoint. Just as they are about to arrest them, Doofenshmirtz and Charlene's daughter Vannessa shows up and asks Candace if she can say goodbye to her parents. Candace oblidges, only to find out it was a trick as Vannessa leads her parents and Pandaborg to escape on a hover car driven by her boyfriend, Tony Marzulo.
The next day, Candace gathers both the Resistance and the O.W.C.A for a meeting as she announces she is retiring as leader of the Resistance. Monogram is shocked by this, but Candace assures him they don't need her anymore since they have the animal agents back (except Pandaborg) to keep hunting the Doofenshmirtz family and positions him as leader of both agencies. When asked what she's going to do next, Candace decides to start living a normal teenage life as she joins Jeremy and presumably starts dating him.
Abilities[]
Martial Artist: Candace was trained with martial arts since she established the Resistance.
Hand-to-Hand Combatant: As part of her martial arts training, Candace is skilled is hand-to-hand combat.
Bo Staff Fighting: Candace's trademark weapon is a bo staff, which she uses to jump high distances and block enemy attacks. She was even able to stand against Charlene in a bo staff fight, although she was defeated by her and wedged between a table, only escaping when Charlene was distracted by a freed rat agent cutting her manicure.
Stamina/High Endurance: As a skilled fighter, Candace has very high stamina and never gets tired. She mopped the floor with an army of Norm-Bots without breaking a sweat.
Deductive Skills: Candace is excellent as deducing clues. She correctly figured out that Doofenshmirtz had something to do with the attack on the park even while in prison.
High Intelligence: Candace is very smart and knows how to outsmart her enemies, although she can still be tricked by them.
Leadership and Authority: As leader of the Resistance, Candace is a good leader and knows how to enforce her authority over the Resistance.
