Captain Blubber

Captain Blubber is a recurring supporting protagonist in the Banjo-Kazooie series. He's a Hippo pirate who always spends his money and blows it on stuff he thinks is cool.

History

Banjo-Kazooie

In the first game, at Treasure Trove Cove, Blubber cries because he lost his gold under his ship and want Banjo & Kazooie to retreve them for him. He later gives the duo a jiggy for this. In the end of Banjo-Kazooie, he spent the gold on at least one wave rider as he was seen driving one into the sunset.

Banjo-Tooie

After the events of Banjo-Kazooie, he later appears in Banjo-Tooie as a salesman in Jolly Roger's Lagoon and gives the duo a pair of Turbo Trainers in exchange for 1 doubloon. He later appears at the end of Banjo-Tooie after Grutilda said "You'll be sorry, all of you! Just you wait until Banjo-Threeie..." and appears on a space hovercraft called the Saucer of Peril and says "ah hey" to the viewer before reaching the end of the cut scene.

Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts

In the next and final game, Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts, he crashed the Saucer of Peril (off-screen) near the Uptown area of Showdown Town. He later appears in Banjoland, Jiggoseum, and the Terrarium of Terror, hosting a series of challenges. This game was also the first game where Blubber doesn't speak in burps and belches.

Trivia

• Captain Blubber and Boggy are the two recurring characters with ditzy personalities (which would explain why there in the same 3 worlds in Nuts and Bolts).
• A Banjoland speaker also points out the he's a useless pirate.
• While normally hippos can swim, Captain Blubber can't, even if he is a hippo.
