Christopher Skyline, better known by his hero identity, the Playboy Hero: Captain Celebrity is a top-ranked American Pro Hero from the spin-off series My Hero Academia: Vigilantes.
In the anime adaption of Vigilantes he is voiced by Toshiyuki Morikawa in the Japanese version and by Sean Schemmel in the English adaption who also voices Goku from the Dragon Ball franchise.
Personality[]
Although he means well and is a true hero when it comes down to it, Captain Celebrity is a boastful and extravagant person with a massive love for his fame and attention, often posing for cameras. He can come off as pompous and aggravating in some cases, such as when he suddenly signed Koichi's All Might hoodie without asking his permission. He appears to be rather short-sighted and can be gullible, as it turned out that his "friends" from back in the states were really taking advantage of him while he was none the wiser.
Captain Celebrity also has a very flirtatious attitude and enjoys wooing and being popular with women, with his fanbase being composed mainly of loving fangirls. Despite being married, this doesn't stop his womanizing attitude from showing, and he enjoys carrying ladies away to safety. This attitude has gotten him in big trouble and has caused a number of scandals revolving around him having affairs among other controversies, to the point where he could no longer be a hero in his home country. When it comes to his wife, Pamela, although the two are happily married, she points out that her husband enjoys his fame and lets it get to his head. He also seems to lack the responsibility to handle these scandals in a respectable manner, as his wife has handled these issues to the point where it became her job, and his first solution was to head to Japan so he could try being a good hero there, running away from his problems rather than facing them.
In spite of all his flaws, Captain Celebrity is a true heroes who can put others before himself, and his arrogant attitude comes from a genuine desire to impress others and win their praise. After learning that Pamela was pregnant and that he was going to become a father, he made an honest decision to change for the better so his child could look up to him. In the following incident where he saved three little sisters, his reputation saw a great improvement, and during an interview he even thanked Makoto Tsukauchi and The Crawler (obviously without naming the latter) for helping him change, going as far as to say that the latter person (Kochi) was a personal hero to Captain Celebrity.
