Carmen Luna (previously Valdez) is one of the titular protagonists of the Lifetime dramedy, Devious Maids.
Carmen is a Puerto Rican singer who dreams of being in the music industry.
She starts by working for the late Latin singer, Alejandro Rubio, in Beverly Hills, so that she can worm her way into the music industry.
However complications arise when his housekeeper and Carmen's superior, Odessa foils Carmen's tactics and orders her around and her co-worker, Alejandro's chauffeur and bodyguard, Sam, had a crush on her.
Even though Carmen is an opportunistic, manipulative, deceptive and sensually cunning young woman, she has shown to be a nice and caring person and is not ruthless.
However, in the future she becomes much more heroic and fairer.

- Supported Odessa when she had cancer and got Alejandro to care for her
- Tried to convince Alejandro to not break up with his boyfriend, (a different) Sam, because he is a nice guy and she reluctantly told him that Alejandro wants to break up with him.
- Tried to convince Alejandro to appreciate his sexuality.
Season 2[]
- Revealed that she actually loved Alejandro, regardless of him being gay
- this is shown when she acts like his real girlfriend, when she is actually the fake one, she was sobbing over his body when he was shot dead and she just couldn't bring herself to sing a sexual song at his concert just so that she can get a ticket of being a singer and instead said that he was a good man
- Resigned of being a maid for Spence Westmore for her friend, Rosie.
- Called the police to stop Ty's party
- Helped Spence go to rehab and also helped Marisol find out a part of a letter she found about getting Opal out of Nicholas' house.
