Carter Hall, better known as Hawkman, is one of the two tritagonists of second Arrowverse crossover event, Heroes Join Forces and the overarching protagonist in Season 1 of DC Legends of Tomorrow.
Biography[]
Ancient Egypt[]
Centuries ago in Ancient Egypt, Carter was a reincarnation of the Prince Khufu and is in love with High Priestes Chay-Ara, who loves him back. But someone else had his eye on the fair priestess, Hath-Set (later known as, Vandal Savage), but Chay-Ara's love was only for the Khufu. Consumed with jealousy, he had both the prince and Priestess murdered. During the attempted murder, all three of them were exposed to a mutative element during a meteor shower, which was actually a product of futuristic technology from the planet Thanagar; as a result, Chay-Ara and Khufu were reincarnated each time they died until they finish their ancient arch-enemy.
Meeting Team Flash & Arrow[]
In 2016, Khufu returns as the superhero, Hawkman, now known as Carter Hall. Having found his wife at last, he tries to help Kendra regain her memories of her past lives, her love with him, and to remember her vigilante warrior identity, Hawkgirl. But she couldn't. Carter explains to everyone their history and what is going on, including how Vandal Savage, which Kendra (who had no memory of her attacker) and both Team Flash and Team Arrow encountered a couple of times, with a little help from Malcolm Merlyn who has some knowledge of their attempted assassin. In order to hunt down Vandal Savage and save the Ancient Warriors, both teams decided to take refuge in a farmhouse in the outskirts of Central City and formulate plans.
Joining the Legends[]
Kendra and Carter were among superheroes and supervillains recruited by a time traveler, Rip Hunter, in order to defeat and destroy Vandal Savage once and for all. During the mission, Vandal had killed Carter and Kendra was alone.
But all is not lost. Carter returns, reincarnated as Scythian Torvil, a soldier in the service of Vandal Savage. He has no memory of recognition of Kendra, who tries to help him regain his memories the way he did with her. Eventually, he remembers her and everything else. They, Rip Hunter and the Legends defeated and destroyed Vandal Savage at long last.
Leaving the Legends[]
After finally rid of Vandal Savage, Carter & Kendra decide to leave the legends and start a new life with each other.
