~ Casey Jones II |
Casey Jones II is the tritagonist of Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie.
He is voiced by Haley Joel Osment, who also voices Sora in Kingdom Hearts, and Mowgli in Disney's The Jungle Book 2.
Story[]
Casey was born at some point between present day and 2044, in a world already under siege by the Krang. At some point, he became a member of the resistance against the Krang under the tutelage of the Turtles - specifically, Leo, whom he addresses as "sensei".
The resistance forces continued dwindling, until all that is known to be left was Todd, Mikey, Leo, and Casey. After Leo was badly injured, he knew there was only one chance left - to send Casey into the past and prevent the Krang from arriving in the first place. Mikey poured everything in his being into creating a time portal, crumbling away into dust as it finished. Then, Leo threw him into the portal, just in time for the young man to see his mentor get blasted to death.
Casey arrives in present-day New York City, attempting to find the key that will unleash the Krang. He then sees April O'Neil sneaking into a lab and taking some strange chemicals. She knocks him out and notices a picture of her and the Turtles from the pocket.
She takes him to the Turtles lair where the stranger wakes up and was overjoyed that he saw them together. He then explains that he is from the future, introducing himself as Casey Jones. In his future, the alien Krang has invaded the Earth and the resistance has fallen. In one final attempt, his masters, Leonardo and Michelangelo's older selves send him back in time to stop the invasion by finding a key that allowed the Krang to come to Earth. Hearing Casey mention the Krang, Master Splinter explains that they came to Earth long ago and were exiled to another realm by a band of warriors who created the key, a mystic weapon, and that they are worshiped by the Foot. Leo anxiously said that it happened and Raph informed Casey that the Foot Clan has it.
