Casey Lynch is a playable character in the Guitar Hero series of rhythm games by Activision. She made her debut in the series starting in Guitar Hero II and has reappeared in every main entry and console-based spinoff throughout the series.
Casey represents the Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, Grunge, Post-Grunge, Punk Rock and Southern Rock genres in the series. She's also served as the third female character of the series after original Guitar Hero characters Judy Nails and Pandora.
History[]
Guitar Hero II[]
Casey Lynch was first introduced as a playable character in Guitar Hero II, along with Eddie Knox. She is a starting character and can only be a selectable character in Career and Multiplayer modes. The quickplay songs she appears that are associated with her genre are as follows:
- "Woman" - Wolfmother
- "Heart-Shaped Box" - Nirvana
- "Monkey Wrench" - Foo Fighters
- "Them Bones" - Alice in Chains
- "Stop!" - Jane's Addiction
- "Raw Dog" - The Last Vegas
- "Collide" - Anarchy Club
- "Push Push (Lady Lightning)" - Bang Camaro
- "Parasite" - The Neighborhoods
Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock & Guitar Hero: Aerosmith[]
In Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock and its band counterpart Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, Casey reappears as a playable character by default for the second and third time. She is randomly selected in both games' Quickplay modes, no matter which song is played. She only appears in non-Aerosmith songs in Guitar Hero: Aerosmith.
Guitar Hero World Tour-Guitar Hero: Van Halen[]
Casey returns as a playable character in Guitar Hero World Tour, Guitar Hero: Metallica, Guitar Hero: Smash Hits and Guitar Hero: Van Halen. She is playable from the start once again in all four games. She only appears in all four games' Career modes, instead of being a randomly selected character in Quickplay, along with the other main characters. She also appears in any song in any tier in the Career modes of Guitar Hero World Tour and Guitar Hero: Smash Hits, while in the Career modes of Guitar Hero: Metallica and Guitar Hero: Van Halen, she only appears in the guest act tiers. Casey's Guitar Hero World Tour outfit was reused in Guitar Hero: Smash Hits and Guitar Hero: Van Halen
Guitar Hero 5 & Band Hero[]
In Guitar Hero 5 and Band Hero, Casey is one of the main characters that are playable in both games. She is now a selectable character to use in both Career and Quickplay modes. As with every other character, she can appear playing on any song on guitar, bass, drums, or female vocals.
Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock[]
Casey serves as one of the other four warriors recruited in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock. Her warrior form is based off of a snake.
Outfits[]
Guitar Hero II[]
Shirts[]
Casey's default outfit has her dressed in blue leather pants and jacket with her long dirty blonde hair with bangs. Under the jacket, she wears a bra with the Confederate flag imprinted, though with inverted colors (red where it should be blue and vice-versa).
Skins[]
In this outfit, she does not wear her jacket. Instead, she wears a black bra, tight camouflage pants and her hair is red and denser than in her default outfit and sporting several tattoos.
Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock & Guitar Hero: Aerosmith[]
Leather[]
Casey Lynch's basic outfit is similar to her "Skins" outfit in the previous game. She is shown with straightened blonde hair with her bangs now sideswept, a bra top, a crucifix-like necklace, leather pants emblazoned with handgun decorations on both sides, a belt, and high-heeled boots. Her "Electric" midriff tattoo from Guitar Hero II remains intact. In Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, her outfit is called "Jeans."
There are four variations of this outfit in Guitar Hero III:
- Basic Black
- Silver 'N Black
- Crimson
- Camo
Mo' Leather[]
Casey Lynch's secondary costume generally shows her with her blonde hair pulled back in a ponytail that wraps around her neck resembling a noose, with several armbands, a black choker necklace, a half-sleeve on her left arm, and a glove on her right hand. As opposed to her first outfit, she has a leather top that covers most of her upper body and midriff tattoo, buckled skin-tight leather pants, and knee-high boots with high heels. She bears a shocking resemblance to Trish from the Devil May Cry series. In Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, her outfit was simply called "Leather."
