Biography[]
Early life[]
Cassie was born in July 2008 as the daughter of Scott and Maggie Lang, with the former being a petty criminal who vowed to end his life of crime to support her. Despite his vow, he was sent to jail for ending the corruption of Vistacorp. Maggie divorced Scott while still in prison, and Jim Paxton would become Cassie's stepfather; raising her as if she was his own daughter.
Ant-Man[]
Cassie would reunite with her father after he was released from prison, going to her birthday to give her a gift. She told her mother and stepfather of his arrival, who confronted him, and Scott had to leave the party, much to Cassie's dismay. Cassie would learn that her father was being hunted by the FBI, and admitted that she wanted them not to find him at dinner, being noticed by Paxton.
Cassie was later taken hostage by Darren Cross, who had lost everything to her father and his allies, Hank Pym and Hope van Dyne. She would see her father be the hero, Ant-Man, and was saved by him, as he defeated Cross by sinking him into Quantum Realm. Cassie and her family would reconcile, and Scott was finally accepted by Maggie and Paxton.
Ant-Man and the Wasp[]
Though Scott was put on house arrest for aiding Captain America’s Avengers faction of violating the Sokovia Accords, Cassie would visit him, and the two bond over him being a hero, and needing a partner.
Avengers: Endgame[]
Cassie survived the Snap, believing that her father had died, but he survived due to being in the Quantum Realm. Five years later, Cassie would reunite with her father, who would help the Avengers stop Thanos, and undo his finger snap. After Scott and the Pym family attended Tony Stark's funeral, Cassie, Scott, and Hope spent time together at the end of the film.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania[]
In 2026, Cassie is being mentored by Hank and Janet Van Dyne in studying the Quantum Realm. She shows her father and the Pyms a device she built that sends a signal to the Quantum Realm. Janet tries to shut off the device, but it accidentally opens a portal sucking them into the Quantum Realm. Scott and Cassie get seperated from the Pyms upon arrival and meet citizens who force-feed them an ooze that allows them to speak their language. They are then captured by M.O.D.O.K, who is revealed to be Darren Cross having survived his battle with Scott but reduced to a head operating a robotic body. In their cells, Scott and Cassie are introduced to Kang, a multiversal conqueror who was banished to the Quantum Realm for his crimes against the multiverse and rules it with an iron fist. Seeking the freedom to resume his multiversal conquests, Kang forces Scott to retrieve his enlarged ship by threatening to kill Cassie.
However, Cassie escapes thanks to the Ant-Man suit her father had given her and transmits a message convincing the Quantum Realm citizens to rebel against Kang. She also convinces Darren to betray Kang and help them, but it gets Darren killed when he is crushed to death by Hank's giant ants while disabling Kang's force field. During the battle, she reunites with her father and the Pyms and they use Kang's ship to open a portal back to Earth. Scott stays behind to stop Kang from escaping too and is quickly rescued by Hope. After Kang's death, they escape too and both families reinact Cassie's birthday since Scott missed it when he was trapped in the Quantum Realm during Thanos' snap.
Personality[]
Cassie shows herself to be loving, compassionate, and remained oblivious to most things like a child would. Despite her father former criminal life, she loves him dearly, and the two have a strong bond.
