Cassie McBain is one of the main protagonists of the 2002-2004 action-adventure series She Spies. She is an experienced grifter who was recruited straight from jail to join a clandestine Federal organisation to rid the world of high-level criminals.
A natural leader, Cassie was the best conwoman in the business until switching sides and now uses her skills of deception to fight crime alongside her two best friends. She beautiful, statuesque and when manipulation doesn't work, will gladly punch her way out of a bind.
She was portrayed by Natasha Henstridge.
Personality[]
She is headstrong, confident and sarcastic, able to run into danger without a thought of consequence. Despite this, she is an expert in tactical thinking and often acts as the Leader of the trio. Her downfall is her arrogance, and this over-confidence in herself can sometimes put her in harms way.
Background[]
Cassie was born and raised in Aspen, Colorado with her conman father who taught her everything he knew. She successfully scammed bankers and businessmen using her many disguises, which also earned her three stints in prison. During her last stay, she was approached by Agent Jack Wilde, who offered her a place in a special espionage team he was forming. Although it was a rocky start as she initially got into a physical fight with fellow member Shane and even tried to escape prison. However, she changed her mind and decided to work as a team - a starting point for the unbreakable bond the She Spies now rely on.
Abilities[]
- Hand-to-Hand Combat: All of the She Spies agents are trained in field combat and Cassie is very skilled at this. She can take down several henchmen without breaking a sweat.
- Deception: Cassie is a master of disguise and can take on any role required for the mission. From ditzy cheerleaders to dominant accountants, Cassie's skills as an actress make her a secret weapon when it comes to extracting information. She is a quick thinker, able to quickly talk her way out of situations that could get her into bother.
- Seduction: Skilled in the art of psychological manipulation, Cassie is able to charm most men she encounters on the job and knows just how to "read" them enough to bend their will to her own.
