Cassie O'Pia is a supporting character in the 2021 video game, Psychonauts 2. She is a member of the Psychic Six and the author of the popular self-help book, Mindswarm.
Personality[]
Cassie is a kind-hearted woman, as show by her initially being the only member of the Psychic Six who was willing to help Raz However, much like the rest of the Six, she has suffered from extreme emotional issues after confronting Maligula, which in her case resulted in her losing control of her powers and by extension, what she perceived as her purpose. Her regrets over what happened caused different aspects of her personality to always be at war with each other, all of which are reasons she now rarely leaves her home.
Cassie believes that a person's "true self" is actually made up of the various personas and behaviors they exhibit, which is partially in due to the many occupations she's assumed during her lifetime. She happens to have four such personas based different events in her life; them being an arrogant writer, an uptight librarian, a motherly teacher, and a shifty counterfeiter. As such, she often switches from being e, egocentric to strict to controlling to nurturing to shrewd and resilient.
As an author, Cassie has a passion for literature and reading. She is also environmentally-conscious and has a distaste for hydraulic mining.
