He is voiced by Hori Hideyuki, who also voices Hardin in Fire Emblem.

Castor presents himself as a timid person, but his seeming lack of confidence belies a calculating and opportunistic character. Upon noticing Rickard cry to earn Lena's sympathy, Castor recognizes this as an act and begins to record Rickard's manipulative tactics to use in the future. Castor is also willing to pledge fealty to anyone who offers him a sufficient amount of gold regardless of moral scruples. However, Castor's motivation for his swindling is ultimately altruistic, as he deeply cares about his impoverished family. He also has a genuine friendship with Princess Caeda, and his defection to the Archanean League is motivated by the guilt of betraying Talys as it is the gold she offers him to support his mother.
Biography[]
Background[]
Born in Talys, Castor grew up the eldest of eight siblings. His family was not a wealthy one, and one day his father abandoned them for the port town of Galder. With his departure, his wife and their children were left to fend for themselves. Circumstances became more dire when Castor's mother struggled to gave birth to her ninth child. While her pregnancy was ultimately successful, the compilations from labor left her dangerously sick. With her life in the balance and the threat of starvation looming over his other siblings, Castor left Talys for the Archanean mainland to make a living and provide for the others.
Archanea Saga[]
Unfortunately for Castor, his travels in Archanea occurred as Dolhr, galvanized by the resurrection of Emperor Medeus, launched a conquest of the continent. By the time Castor reached the Holy Kingdom of Archanea, the nation crumbled at the hands of Dolhr and its ally Grust. A thirsty Castor reached Archanea's Millennium Court, where he encountered the thief Rickard and his canteen. After conning Rickard into giving him water by exaggerating his dehydration, Castor notified him of his troubles. In turn, Rickard explained that he was collaborating with the cleric Lena to break into the Dolhr-occupied palace and steal its riches to aid the poor. Excited at the prospect of receiving a vast amount of gold, Castor agreed to join Rickard in his heist. The two rendezvoused with Lena and the mercenary Navarre at a local inn and finalized their plans. The next morning, the group began their heist in earnest, but were surprised to encounter another band of thieves within. Among the bandits' group were the treasure hunter Dice and his daughter Malice, who agreed to join with Rickard and Lena's band in exchange for a cut of the loot. Successful in their heist, Rickard and Lena's group attempted to escape the palace, but were caught by General Camus of Grust, occupying leader of the Holy Kingdom. However, Archanea's true sovereign, Princess Nyna, convinced Camus to show mercy and escort them out of the palace to distribute the treasure to the destitute. Unfortunately, completing Rickard and Lena's mission left Castor with no treasure of his own, and he soon fell in with the Galder Pirates to secure more wealth for his family.
War of Shadows[]
When the Galder Pirates set their sights on Talys, they provoked Caeda, the exiled Prince Marth of Altea, and his retainers. After defeating the Galder Pirates besieging Talys, Marth's army traveled to Galder Harbor to vanquish the group once and for all. Caeda, travelling with Marth as part of his forces, was dismayed to see Castor among their number, and when informed of his plight, offered him what money she had to pay for his mother's medicine. Touched by her generosity, Castor defected to Marth's army and assisted him in a campaign to free Archanea from Dolhr's tyranny. Eventually, Marth's army stormed Dolhr itself, where Marth slew Medeus, and ended the War of Shadows. Castor returned to his family with the vital medicine and some clothes as a present for his sister Leen. To his horror, he learned that during his journey with Marth, Leen sold herself into slavery in her own attempt to raise money. Castor desperately searched for her, eventually locating her in a sleazy tavern in Port Warren. Sadly, Leen squalid life as a slave was too much for her body, and she passed away in front of her brother.
War of Heroes[]
A devastated Castor vowed to continue finding work until he could provide sufficient wealth to his surviving family. However, he was unable to make an honest living and resorted to traveling the continent as a swindler. Eventually he plied his trade in Macedon, where he encountered Marth, who was ordered by the cruel Lang, occupying leader of Grust and general of the reconstructed Holy Empire of Archanea, to remove the usurper Lykke from power. After learning of Castor's new plight, Marth offered him what money he could. Grateful for Marth's generosity, Castor felt compelled to rejoin him and help slay Lykke. However, Lang next instructed Marth to retrieve the royal children Jubelo and Yuliya, who he previously imprisoned but were since freed by the mercenary Ogma. Marth, who by this point was disgusted with Lang's insolence and lack of conscience, refused to follow any more of the general's orders. Lang declared Marth's defiance an act of war, but fled when challenged by his advisor Jagen. Castor helped search for Ogma and Grust's heirs, finding the three surrounded by bandits. Castor helped fend off the rogues, but Marth was interrupted by Caeda's arrival. She explained that was one of the few people that managed to flee a surprise attack on Altea led by the Archanean Empire and its emperor, the formerly benevolent Hardin who had secretly become corrupted. Deciding to liberate the Grustian people, Marth's army marched on Lang's stronghold, Ostern Keep. After assisting Marth with Lang's defeat, Castor followed Marth through the rest of the War of Heroes, which concluded when Marth slew a resurrected Medeus. With the war's end, Castor joined the newly formed Archanean Rangers. However, his stint in the Rangers was a brief one, and he ultimately left to rejoin his family with a considerable sum of money, which he likely gained through elicit means.
