Assassins

Assassins are heroes that commit the act of assassination, which is a pre-meditated killing of another person that is usually done in either a discreet or particularly audacious manner (such as killing them in front of a crowd for example).

While this is usually a villainous deed, there are some heroes who have employed assassination to kill particularly corrupt and/or wicked individuals. Nevertheless, such actions tend to place a character firmly in Anti-Hero territory.

Note: Purely Good heroes never count as this as those types of heroes are not considered Sympathetic, Merciful and incorruptible. Assassins kill another person that is usually done in either a discreet or particularly audacious manner and have corrupting qualities. Pure Good heroes that seek their own military, right or pragmatic forms of self-defense should go under the Pragmatists, Vengeful, Misguided, Mentally Ill, Rebellion Heroes, Vigilante, Military, Lawful Good, Patriots, Paranoid, Criminals, Warriors, Ninjas and/or Dreaded instead of this category.

However, despite the fact that assassins cannot be Pure Good, some can be sympathetic if they limit their killings to wicked individuals, have a moral code and emphasize with others (including some villains).
