Ferals are heroes that embrace a savage, animalistic lifestyle or belief system. Sometimes a feral may actually be an animal, but in order to qualify, they must be of the anthropomorphic kind (such as Tigress) in an environment or world where their savage behavior is seen as abnormal rather than the norm.
Since ferals have a savage and animalistic lifestyle, many of these types of heroes cannot be considered Pure Good. However, they can qualify if they can control their instincts, have a clear moral agency and have no corrupting qualities whatsoever (e,g. Tarzan).
At some point in a story, a character may have started out as feral, but has come to change their nature by gaining some degree of intelligence and/or self-control. The complete reverse of this situation may happen as well, where a character starts off with completely standard behavior, but becomes feral afterward.
