This is gonna be one of those things, isn't it? - I mean, you get a bunch of short-fused, costumed idiots together in one room like this, and what do you think is gonna happen? Any minute now, stuff's gonna start blowing up, guys'll be throwing each other at other guys.

Genre Savvy Heroes are heroes who possess knowledge of their own medium or at-least common practices within it. Being Genre Savvy is the prospect of a character being aware of well used methods, plots and time-tables in their story-line. These are heroes who are not surprised by plot turns and may even be expecting them. Often played for laughs by the creators of a work about their own writing style, Heroes that acknowledge the clichés of their own worlds may in-fact be able to save the day because they can easily guess how events will unfold. This is usually done either purely for comedic purposes as a wink to the audience or specifically invoked because the hero in question has tremendous experience dealing with a certain type of villain or plot.
