~ Soothsayer warning Julius Caesar about the conspirators planning to kill him |
Harbingers are messengers, a warning of things to come - they appear in many works of fiction and may embody abstract concepts or serve as a morality tale: some are simply heralds of higher authorities, all share the common trait of delivering some kind of message or revelation to a character. Not all harbingers are benevolent, many are amoral, some are more hostile or sinister in nature.
