Horror Heroes

Heroes from many films, video games, TV shows, comics, and books of the horror genre. Monsters, vampires, werewolves, ghosts, ghouls, zombies, demons, and aliens - the world of horror is a scary place and these guys are also the most terrifying heroes and are probably the reason why. They are designed to frighten, disturb and generally make us afraid.

Horror can be supernatural or merely disturbing but shares similar concepts such as death, dread and so forth. Heroes in Horror don't necessarily have to inhabit exclusive genres either, as Horror can merge with almost any setting.

Comedy Horror is real too, even though they seem to be two very different things, they can sometimes go hand-in-hand. Science Fiction Horror is another.

These are heroes from works intended to frighten and/or disturb the audience, therefore, heroes who are just simply scary at times (such as James P. Sullivan, Shrek, Blue the Velociraptor, Alastor and Willy Wonka) but do not come from horror works do not count. As only heroes who come from works meant to frighten the audience count as horror heroes.

That being said, not all horror heroes have to fall under Mature, as there can be some heroes that come from horror works directed to children. Such as Jack Skellington, Scooby-Doo, Coraline Jones, DJ Walters, Billy, and Courage the Cowardly Dog.
