Lawful Good

Lawful Good is known as the "Saintly" or "Crusader" alignment and encompasses characters who use law and order to serve positive ends and believe some form of law is best to achieve these ends. A Lawful Good character typically acts with compassion, honor and a sense of duty. Unlike Lawful Neutrals, these characters put doing good things above obeying the law while still following principles of law and order. Lawful Good is the usual alignment of benevolent rulers, law enforcement, well-meaning public officials, egalitarians, balance-seekers, upholders of order, righteous knights, paladins, dragons and most dwarves.

Due to their fair and sympathetic nature, Lawful Good characters believe in good societal rules that would benefit everyone and should be respected by everyone.

They are the moral opposite of Lawful Evil, the Law/Chaos opposite of Chaotic Good, and the complete opposite of Chaotic Evil. Stereotypically, Lawful Good characters are seen as the most honorable characters though both Neutral and Chaotic Good can also be. The main difference between Lawful Good and Neutral Good characters is that Neutral Good's are indifferent to law vs chaos and won't always act within the confines of law.

Lawful Good characters can count, if they have no corrupting factors as Pure Good as both archetypes can be identified through traits such as acts of kindness like saving lives or being pleasant with any other character (e.g. Zane, Palutena, Captain America, Meta Knight (Kirby: Right Back at Ya!), Dewey Riley, Ochaco Uraraka, Horace Nebbercracker, Makoto Naegi, Kyoko Kirigiri, Soichiro Yagami, Kyojuro Rengoku, Elastigirl, Princess Peach, Rosalina, Tippi, Fox McCloud, Otohime, and Atticus Finch). These heroes never choose to put the law above doing good, as they do not want innocent people being negatively affected as a consequence.
