A Paragon is a type of hero that is considered the "ultimate" champion of concepts such as truth, justice and/or honor. A Paragon is any hero who proudly epitomizes their archetype, often to the point of being cliche' but proud of it;

This was very popular in the Golden Age of comics and consisted of heroes powerful enough to move worlds and combat threats of great power: Sadly as tastes changed the Paragon archetype grew into disuse in favor of more flawed anti-heroes and vigilantes...though Paragons are still popular in some settings, especially DC Comics.

A classic example of a Paragon hero is Superman. Other examples for this include Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto from Bleach, Sora from the Kingdom Hearts franchise and Statesman from City of Heroes/Villains.
