Patriotic Heroes are champions of their country and often take on the role as an embodiment of sorts of the ideals of their nation or people: Classic examples of such heroes are Captain America, Superman, the G.I. Joe Team, and Hulk Hogan.

Their evil counterpart is Jingoists, who use the patriotism of an extreme and aggressive form.
