Heroes who are biologically in the same family as villains. They can be parents, siblings, sons/daughters, grandparents, grandchildren, ancestors, descendants, distant relatives, cousins, uncles/aunts, nieces/nephews, or even clones of villains. They can also be distant family members or clones of villains. Adoptive and foster relatives and heroes who have villain clones can also count as well. A popular element in fiction is to have the protagonist be related to a villain to add more drama. This was most likely popularized by the relationship between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader (who turns out to be Anakin Skywalker).
This is the updated version of Heroes who are biologically related to the villain.
In some cases, a villain's relative may qualify as Pure Good if they meet all criteria, such as having empathy (e.g. affection and/or remorse) for the villain. In addition to many cases, trying to convince them to redeem themselves, though this can sometimes turn out to be a total failure, especially if the villain meets the criteria of Pure Evil. SCP-999 is a perfect example of a Pure Good hero related to villains.
