Sympathetic

Heroes who have developed some degree of sympathy and empathy for others they come across when they come to understand their motives and all the hardships they went through; as well as understanding what led them to being their enemies/villains or unfortunate scapegoats in the first place. It can range from being sympathetic towards their friends, family, or comrades to being outright sympathetic/empathetic to villains who have lost so much during their lives. For this reason, sympathetic heroes are likely to be Pure Good though some can still have corrupting qualities as long as they don't get too much in the way of their sympathy for others.

By virtue of this concept, tragic heroes naturally have high chances of feeling for others wholeheartedly, no matter who those others are and what struggles they are facing.

This is also an opposite of psychopathic villains.
