Heroes who prefer to remain hidden or are not actually seen up until a certain point. Some heroes choose to conceal their identity, while others may never be seen by the viewer either by chance or to create an aura of mystery for the character. This can also take the form of a character that is seen, but wears something covering their face at all times, or someone who's face is always obscured.

Some characters have no physical form, and therefore can never be seen normally.
