Celia Facilier is a major character in Descendants 3. She is Dr. Facilier's younger daughter and Freddie Facilier’s younger sister. On the Isle of the Lost, Her father was sucked into a voodoo hell for eternity, Celia worked as a fortune teller and errand-runner for Hades, until Mal and the others Vks come to Isle of the Lost, she is one of the four new Vk brought to Auradon alongside her friends Dizzy Tremaine (her best friend) and Squirmy and Squeaky Smee.
Celia is a beautiful girl with medium brown skin, dark brown eyes and dark red curly hair that is brown at the roots and assorted into lots of little braids.
She often wears a rainbow-colored dress with different patterns and designs, under the shirt she has a sleeveless white jacket with a green collar with a green skull motif in the center. On her purple belt there is a keychain with an owl with yellow flounces, finally a top hat on the side of her head which is brown with a small multicolored skull and dark feathers.
Personality[]
Celia is often exuberant and sassy and has a great talent for being "bad", in fact as Mal says, Celia should devote some time to the Fairy Godmother's lesson in kindness.
She is very mischievous and witty, especially in making money, this is shown in her interaction with Hades and the VKs. This is also partly due to being raised by her father, Dr. Faclier.
Despite her bad character, Celia is also capable of being loyal, caring and courageous when she needs it. She is very protective of her father, her sister and Dizzy, her best friend. She is also extremely loyal, as she promises never to reveal Mal's secret about Hades. She can be easily frightened as shown when Audrey trapped everyone at Evie's Cottage.
Despite everything, Celia does not tolerate blatant deception about what she deems important and she has a strong sense of morality.
Powers & Abilities[]
Being the daughter of Dr. Facilier, Celia inherited the following powers:
Voodoo Manipulation: Because of her father's voodoo physiology, Celia has the power of Voodoo Manipulation the ability to use voodoo magic and control anything dark and death-like.
Card Manipulation: Celia has the ability to control and manipulate her shadow cards just like her father.
Cartomancy: Celia has the ability to use shadow cards to gain insight into the past, current and possible future situations of the subject.
Shadow Manipulation: Like her father Dr. Facilier, Celia has the ability to generate and manipulate shadows for various purposes and effects.
Animated Shadow: Like her father, Celia has the ability to transform her shadow into a living being. As the rule of anything happening to her body happens to the shadow.
Mediumship: Celia has the ability to perceive and communicate with spirits and those who are in the afterlife. An example of this ability is when she said she has "friends on the other side".
History[]
Celia is first seen during the song "Good to be Bad", when Mal and the other VKS go to Isle of the Lost to pick up new recruits for Auradon Prep. Celia is excited knowing that she will be one of whom she will be chosen, along with her best friend Dizzy Tremaine, then Squirmy and Squeaky Smee, in which she is chosen last (because it may take some time in Goodness Class, which, judging by his reaction, is appropriate). She takes the stage to shake Mal's hand before exclaiming where they are going.
The day the little Vks go to Auradon, Celia is the only one who doesn't have a relative to say hello, she puts her backpack in the limo and gets into her and Ben speaks to her. As the limo leaves, she reads Ben's fortune: Be a wise and great king, which Mal agrees. In turn, she asks for payment. Ben gives her an account that he is remarkably excited about.
Hades runs after the limo trying to escape from Isle of the Lost, but Evie notices this and warns Mal transforming into a dragon to stop him, while Celia and the others watch in horror, but Mal manages to defeat him and the journey to Auradon continues. . Dizzy and Celia accompany the VKs to Evie's Cottage where they prepare for Jane's birthday party. However, Carlos notes that a big piece of the pie is missing. The culprits are Dizzy and Celia, who are enjoying the lack of dirt and flies in the cake.
Celia then runs off with Evie, Carlos and Jay to look for Mal who is transformed into an old hag by a vengeful Audrey who mocks them before disappearing. Mal says the only way to stop her is Hades Ember, but Evie is dubious about how they would take him. Celia informs them that she and her "errand rat" have the key to her father's lair, Mal then makes her come with them, much to Celia's dismay at the fact that she has just arrived and after Evie has given precise instructions. to Dizzy, Mal tells everyone to get ready.
Celia is on the motorcycle with Mal as they go to the Isle, when they arrive Mal notices that she has returned to her old self, to which Celia cheekily observes that the idea of nonexistent dark magic on the island is the point. She secretly knocks on her father's playroom door and the group enters. Celia greets her father enthusiastically and Dr. Facilier asks if she has started any fuss in Auradon. Celia says no, but she has "friends on the other side". She takes the key and informs her father that she is now a "major player" in her mission, her father tells her to make sure she gets her cut, which she maliciously claims.
Harry and Gil with the other pirates of Uma steal their motorcycles with Jay, Carlos and Evie chasing them, Celia would like to join them, but Mal reminds her what part of her is and so she looks that it's time for the rest of Hades. The two make their way to a deserted area of the island and Celia uses her key to open the skull-shaped doors. Mal asks about the dog's size and Celia tells her that she will see it for herself. She then warns Mal to shut up as he easily echoes in Hades's lair. The two of them enter Hades' quarters without making any noise, after hearing the barking she deduces that they are just tapes and as Mal enters, Celia stops the recording. Hades asks why she is there and Celia throws him a can of wheat. She grabs Mal's hand before he can catch the embers, much to Celia's annoyance. Mal turns to Hades as his father (Do What You Gotta Do), something Celia is greatly shocked by.
Mal manages to get the Ember and Celia notes that Hades often asks for her. Mal reveals that Evie was the only one who knew Hades was her father and Celia promises to keep her secret. As the group leaves Harry and Gil manage to cross the barrier to steal the Ember, but Mal accidentally drops it into the water where Uma transformed into a giant Cecilia takes it. Celia remains neutral in the discussion between the two until Evie convinces the two groups to join.
When they all arrive in Auradon, everyone is shocked at what Audrey has done. Carlos reassures Celia that he will love Auradon Prep and she is thrilled. Uma suggests checking the school to find Audrey and Celia goes with them, but then she's not quite happy when Mal and Uma are in discussion again. They scour the castle and Evie tells her to stay safe by the door, she then plays with Dude and he tells her she's cute. During the song “The Night Fall” battle against the armor, Celia helps by giving Carlos a shield. After the armor is defeated, Celia watches as Evie tries to get everyone to get along again. Mal gives Celia more instructions which she then does. He goes with Uma to Audrey's dorm where she tries on the jewels in a vain way. Evie tells her to leave it there before leaving for Evie's Cottage. The quartet arrives and finds Dizzy, Doug and the twins a sleep. Celia covers them with a blanket and assures them (mostly Dizzy) that they will fix Audrey's mess.
Celia is later seen eating Jane's cake with Uma until Mal compliments Uma. He goes upstairs to give them privacy until Audrey traps them inside the house, to which she responds to Uma by saying they are trapped. However, Uma and Mal manage to break the spell by combining Uma's ember and necklace. Celia then warns her that the boys have arrived. All reunited, Celia goes with the VKs, Ben, Uma and Harry to Fairy Cottage to find Audrey. They only find a terrified Chad Charming locked in a closet by Audrey. After another failed attempt, Mal finally tells the truth to everyone: no one will go in and out of the barrier anymore, as it will be closed forever. Angry Celia, she screams in tears in Mal's face that she is a chicken for not telling her, not being able to see her father again. She angrily takes the embers from Mal her and bathes her with water before disappearing into the woods.
Celia however regrets what she did and tries to go back, but she is kidnapped by Audrey who thinks of using her as bait to take Mal of her. Mal transforms into a dragon and fights Audrey but is not strong enough to beat the scepter. Celia repeatedly tries to fight back until Audrey threatens to subdue her. But Uma arrives at that moment and helps Mal defeat Audrey with her embers and saves Celia. Audrey is left in a comatose state. Back at Auradon Prep, Mal says the only way to save her is to bring Hades. Uma and Harry ask to return to the island, and after a moment Celia says she wants to get along, surprising everyone. She says that she unfortunately would like to be in two places.
Realizing that Mal was just trying to protect her and everyone else, Celia forgives Mal when he apologizes for her dishonesty.
On the day of Mal and Ben's engagement party, they finally break down the barrier so that all the Vk kids can be free. Celia looks at him with glee and joins and joins the song “Break This Down” with Dizzy. She greets her father once again in the middle of the song and drags him to the party, but not before gratefully hugging Mal along with Dizzy.
