Hero Overview

O Holy Mother... please save us from our tainted souls. Our smiles are the light of hope. The Holy Mother will appear when we smile.

Arisu. Live on for us.
~ Chōta's last words to Arisu before dying.

Chōta Segawa is a supporting character in the Netflix TV series Alice in Borderland, based on the manga of the same name. He is the best friend of Ryōhei Arisu and Daikichi Karube.

He was voiced by Tsubasa Yonaga in the Japanese version of the OVA adaptation and by Greg Ayres in the English version. In the TV series, he is portrayed by Yūki Morinaga and voiced by Julian Stamboulieh in English.

Personality[]

Chōta is nice and optimistic, but also reserved, timid, insecure, and kind of naïve. He tends to follow Arisu and Karube's instructions as he gets nervous when they handle difficult situations. While not the brightest or strongest of the trio, he is a good friend to be around and the most loyal, not willing to betray or abandon Arisu and Karube at any point. Chōta also hates seeing his friends fighting each other. He is kind-hearted and determined to help his friends in anyway he can.
