Chad Chadan is a member of Tekkadan and one of the heroes of Mobile Suit Gundam IRON-BLOODED ORPHANS.

He is voiced by Hiroki Ishiya in the original Japanese version and by Keith Silverstein in the English dub.

History

Chad Chadan was originally a member of the Chryse Guard Security Third Group, which was comprised mainly of child soldiers and Human Debris. Following an attack by Gjallarhorn, Chad and the rest of the Third Group staged a revolt against the adults of the company and took it over, renaming it Tekkadan.

Following the success of the mission to escort Kudelia Aina Bernstein to Earth, Chad became the leader of Tekkadan's newly established Earth Branch. While Chad was meeting with Togonosuke Makanai, Prime Minister of Arbrau, Makanai was the target of a bombing orchestrated by Galan Mossa on behalf of Rustal Elion of the Seven Stars. After noticing a mysterious flower pot in the room, Chad realized they were in danger and moved himself and Makanai away before the bomb hidden in the flower pot detonated. Neither were killed, but both were rendered comatose. With Chad out of commission, Takaki Uno took over as acting leader of the Earth Branch snf was deceived by Galan Mossa into waging a guerrilla war against the Strategic Alliance, but learned the truth about Galan's deception once Orga Itsuka and the rest of Tekkadan's main branch landed on Earth. Chad eventually awoke after spending a month comatose, but did not return to his position as head of Tekkadan's Earth Branch as the Earth Branch had been dissolved and instead joined back up with the main Tekkadan force. After the outcome of the McGillis Fareed Incident saw the destruction of both the Revolutionary Fleet and Tekkadan, Eugene and numerous other members of Tekkadan were able to avoid being killed by the Arianrhod Fleet thanks to Mikazuki Augus and Akihiro Altland holding off the Gjallarhorn forces while they escaped. After the war ended, Chad, now living under a new identity, became an assistant to Kudelia Aina Bernstein after she was elected president of the Mars Union.
