Prince Chad Charming, Jr. , or also better known as Chad Charming, is one secondary antagonists (alongside Audrey) of Descendants, and then a supporting character in its sequels, Descendants 2 and Descendants 3.

He is the son of Cinderella and Prince Charming, Dizzy Tremaine’s paternal cousin and a student of Audradon Prep.

He is played by Jedidiah Goodacre.

Personality[]

From what is known about him, Chad is a player and a "Jock".

In the first film he proves sneaky and crafty, like when he tricks Evie and her mirror is confiscated for cheating and when he antagonizes naughty children on Family Day, and when he mocks Mal and the other VKS. He is extremely arrogant and bossy and extremely stupid, like when he manipulates Evie to make her do her homework for her, even though she tries with a lot of guys, Chad proves to be a dude to all the girls he finds.

With Audrey, he initially hates the VKS and absolutely wants to get rid of them and humiliate them as said by the metaphor "Once a villain, always a villain".

However, he is also extremely cowardly, shown towards the end of the film when Maleficent bursts into the coronation hall and he throws Audrey aside with his arm in front of him and rushes to Doug and hugs him tightly.

He is shown by the magic mirror to be the biggest jerk in the land, however, he is nowhere near as dangerous as Maleficent. In the sequel it is seen that he has changed for the better in his character, although he is slightly irritated by Carlos and Jay. He is no longer arrogant and sneaky and is friendlier and kinder, even though he is envious of Ben. Help Audrey with her car as well, even though she was only 6 hours away from him.

Chad is a major character in the final movie, is first seen on Jane's birthday, rudely advises that Carlos may have forgotten about her. Eventually Audrey is frustrated by Chad's incompetence, so she locks him in a closet at Fairy Cottage only to be found by Carlos, Evie, Mal and Jay, Ben, Uma and Harry.

Trivia[]

In School of Secrets, he loses his phone and it is revealed he may be leading on several girls.
His meeting-card says: born in Charming Providence... However, Charmington is home to Snow White and Prince Florian Charming. So, it would be more likely that he was born in Cinderellasburg. However, it is possible that while Charmington is home to Snow White and her husband, Charming Providence is a province in Cinderellasburg.
He is on the Tourney team.
He does not do very good in school.
He is a reverse of the Villain Kids, a child of a hero doing rotten things by choice.
He is a Prince.
He and Doug are the only main Descendants characters who appeared in the films, but do not appear in the animated short series Descendants: Wicked World.
