Chaos is a major character in the Archie comics and spin-offs, Sonic the Hedgehog. It is a Chao that mutated into a water elemental, which was responsible for all but wiping out the Knuckles Clan of echidnas. Imprisoned in the Master Emerald by Tikal, a girl from that tribe, Chaos remained trapped for centuries until it was released by Dr. Eggman. After accumulating power from the seven Chaos Emeralds, it attacked Station Square only to be stopped by Super Sonic. Following this, Chaos and Tikal returned to their home within the Master Emerald.
Powers and Abilities[]
Chaos is an incredibly strong creature whose power is so great that it is revered as a deity. Chaos' water manipulation is strong enough to hold together the oceans of Mobius during the Shattered World Crisis, and he can also use water to form air bubbles. Due to being made out of water, Chaos is indestructible and can shapeshift his body in limited forms, such as stretching his arms, turning into a living puddle, and reforming himself from being destroyed.
When Chaos absorbed the negative energy of the seven Chaos Emeralds during the events of Sonic Adventure, Chaos achieved his most powerful form; Perfect Chaos.
History[]
Chaos originally lived in the altar of the Master Emerald and the seven Chaos Emeralds. However, one day he draws on the Master Emerald and uses this opportunity to use it and he became what he is today. With this new power, Chaos would defend his allies from threats. It's possible that the comics version of Chaos has experienced the events of Sonic Adventure. In the Waves of Change story arc for the comics, Chaos helped the Freedom Fighters battle the Dark Gaia Creatures.
