Charlie is a major character in Seasons 4 and 5 of the TV show Legends of Tomorrow. They are a kind of magical creature called a "shapeshifter" who escaped from Hell to wreck havoc across the timeline. However, Charlie was merely scared and confused, and didn't mean any harm. Thus, the Legends decided to spare them and add them to the team so that their knowledge of magic and magical beings can be beneficial to the team, although John Constantine deprived them of their shapeshifting abilities because he is prejudiced towards shapeshifters.
Althought Charlie started butting heads with the rest of the Legends, they soon grew to care for the team and is now more than happy to help protect the space-time continuum. They are irascible and snarky, but still noble and kind.
They speak with a thick "Cockney" British accent.
