Charmy Bee is a supporting character in Sonic the Comic comic book series. He is a member of the Chaotix Crew, largery derided by his own teammates for his annoying behaviour. He is also the prince of a bee kingdom, but keeps this a secret from the rest of the crew.
Appearance[]
Charmy looks largely the same as his main series counterpart did in Knuckles' Chaotix. He wears a black helmet with goggles and red-and-white shoes. His body is black-and-yellow, and he has two wings on the back.
Biography[]
Charmy was born to the Queen Bee of the Hive, and was the first in line of succession to the throne. He, however, left the Hive to join the Chaotix Crew and protect the Special Zone. While he didn't completely break off the contact with his mother, there were still times he didn't write her back for months. The rest of the Chaotix were unaware of Charmy's heritage.
Charmy and the rest of the Chaotix encountered Sonic several times on their adventures, one of which saw Charmy being forced to return to the Hive, but Sonic convinced the Queen to allow him to return to the Chaotix as a reward for the hedgehog defending the Hive from Vesper's wasp army.
A fight against Crimson Cobra resulted in all of the Chaotix, Charmy included, going crazy. While the rest of the Chaotix just became violent, Charmy's madness instead led to him using his wealth to buy out Crimson Cobra's company, ultimately depriving him of any way to commit evil.
Personality[]
Due to Charmy's many weird habits, people around him, even his friends and teammates, tend to be annoyed by him and insult him. It's been suggested that Charmy's annoying behaviour is deliberate rather than caused by stupidity. Though Charmy chooses to stick with the Chaotix in spite of the abuse they inflict of him, he's still afraid of them enough to ask Sonic not to tell them that he's royalty for fear that they'll kill him.
