Chasca is a playable Anemo character in Genshin Impact. She is a fully-fledged peacemaker hailing from the Feather-Flower Clan (also known as the Tlalocan), solving many conflicts with both her skill for resolvement and battle. Outside of peacemaking, she is a quarrelsome, fierce warrior, having qualified for the Night Warden Wars six consecutive times. Despite her success, Chasca had struggled through a rough past. She was abandoned by her parents for having a disease, left in the wild to be found and raised by Qucusaurs. When returning to her clan, she was adopted by Cusco.
She is voiced by Lauren Amante in English, Yūko Kaida in Japanese, Zhang Ruoyu in Chinese and Su-hyeon in Korean.
Appearance[]
Chasca is a pale young woman posessing dark blue eyes that fade to a lighter blue, with dark circular pupils. She has curly shoulder-length dark crimson hair, with a purple front chunk covering her eye. A strand of her hair is fastened into a braid with a golden ring. She wears a black top with a blue and red collar, and a clasp of three red gems in the center. One of her arms has an over shoulder brown sleeve, with the other one bare. She wears black pants with only one pant leg, fastened by a brown leather belt with golden buckles. Her bare leg has a brown leg garter around her upper thigh. She sports a red and pale blue cape with ridged edges, reaching her calves. Her footwear is black cut-out boots, with blue frills at the bottom and red to purple edges at the top. Chasca accessorizes with a golden bracelet on one hand, and a red and blue bead bracelet with a feather ornament attached on the other. Her belt holds up a long string of red, blue, and white beads, fastened onto her anemo vision case. On her neck is a red and blue scarf with a blue and golden feather ornament. She has one single golden feather-shaped earring.
Biography[]
Chasca was afflicted with a rare disease at a young age, causing her parents to give up on raising her. This led to her being abandoned to survive on her own in the wild. She was eventually found by Qucusaurus, a species of Saurian residing with the people of the Feather-Flower Clan. They raised her as one of their own, and she learnt their ways of living, from hunting to flying. One day, she was found by Cusco and his daughter Chuychu, who took her in as family. This was presumably the first act of kindness she received from people. However, when they returned with her to the Feather-Flower Clan, she was treated as an outcast. Since she had lived in the wild with Qucusaurus for so long, she was very different from regular people and had a hard time adjusting to a human lifestyle. People began to think something was wrong with her because of the way she behaved. Eventually, she began living normally and solving conflicts as a peacemaker after experiencing so many. Even after returning to her tribe and forgetting parts of her childhood, Chasca still remained grateful to the Qucusaurus who raised her. She still considers them family, and flies on a gun Xilonen forged for her, resembling how Qucusaurus have the ability to fly.

- Chasca's name may either be derived from the Salvadoran folklore character Chasca, or the Incan goddess of the stars Ch'aska.
