Chef Kawasaki is a minor character in the Kirby franchise, he appeared as mini boss in Kirby Super Star, Kirby Super Star Ultra, and Kirby Star Allies.
The appearance of Chef Kawasaki is that of a kind of Cappy with an orange egg shape and pink feet, which is dressed in a kitchen apron and a chef's hat. In addition, he has navy blue eyes, and outlines a very simple smile. As weapons, he possesses a frying pan that can be stretched out to grab his opponents and plates that can be thrown at the enemy. It will give you the Cook ability if you defeat it and it inhales it.
Appearance[]
It is like a type of Cappy that has the appearance of a cook, in fact, it is the only Cappy with a confirmed name that appears in the video games.
In the anime he is the cook of the town but he is not very good at cooking but he still has a good heart and he would not want to disappoint his friend Nagoya and someone who loves Kawasaki food, and that is Kirby.
Biography[]
Kirby Super Star/Kirby Super Star Ultra[]
Chef Kawasaki makes his debut in Kirby Super Star and its DS remake Kirby Super Star Ultra as a recurring mid-boss. He can extend his ladle towards Kirby and put him in a frying pan, and also throwing multiple plates at him. Chef Kawasaki can also start cooking and hurt Kirby if the latter is nearby. If Kawasaki is inhaled by Kirby, the latter can get the Cook ability. Chef Kawasaki appears as the third opponent of the side-game Samurai Kirby, using his frying pan to attack. In Kirby Super Star Ultra, Chef Kawasaki appears in the card swipe minigame.
Chef Kawasaki is also fought in the arena, and in the extra mode Helper to Hero in the remake.
Kirby's Dream Land 3[]
Chef Kawasaki returns in the minigame "What Was That Sound?". In the minigame, Chef Kawasaki hits a Gordo with a frying pan, which makes a certain sound. Kirby then has to guess which Gordo made the same sound in a group of them that appears.
Kirby's Star Stacker[]
Chef Kawasaki is the fifth opponent of the Kirby puzzle game Kirby's Star Stacker. In this game, he steals one of Mr. Stars' pieces and cooks it. Kirby and his friends fight Chef Kawasaki over it, ultimately reigning success over the cook.
Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land[]
Chef Kawasaki appears as the third opponent in the minigame Quick Draw, attacking with his frying pan.
Kirby Mass Attack[]
Chef Kawasaki appears in Kirby Mass Attack in the sub-game Kirby Quest as the boss of Stage 7 of Chapter 1.
Kirby's Return to Dream Land/Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe[]
A robot named and modeled after Chef Kawasaki named Mecha Kawasaki appears as the first boss of one of Kirby's Return to Dream Land's original minigames, Scope Shot. Mecha Kawasaki uses many food items to attack Kirby, and defends itself with a frying pan.
The real Chef Kawasaki makes an appearance in Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe as the second opponent of the remastered version of Samurai Kirby.
Kirby: Triple Deluxe[]
Artwork of Chef Kawasaki appears in one of the many keychain collectables found throughout Kirby: Triple Deluxe.
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse[]
In Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, Chef Kawasaki makes a cameo on one of the secret diary page collectibles found throughout the goal games at the end of levels. Chef Kawasaki also appears as a collectible figurine found in the game.
Kirby Battle Royale[]
An illustration of Chef Kawasaki appears in the Flagball battle type's background in Kirby Battle Royale.
Kirby Star Allies[]
Chef Kawasaki appears again as a mid-boss throughout Kirby Star Allies, using the same attacks as in his debut games and also has a tougher variant in later stages. Twin Kawasaki is fought in some stages like other mid-bosses. Chef Kawasaki can be recruited as a Dream Friend if a friend heart is thrown at him. Chef Kawasaki as a Dream Friend has a bigger moveset than as a mid-boss.
Super Kirby Clash[]
In Super Kirby Clash, Chef Kawasaki appears in one of the game's stickers, having a caption that says "Let's get cookin'!" and has a sound effect of clashing pot lids.
Kirby's Dream Buffet[]
In Kirby's Dream Buffet, Chef Kawasaki appears as a costume for Kirby to wear, and also appears on one of the many character treats found throughout the game.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl[]
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Chef Kawasaki appears as one of the game's many equippable stickers. Being able to be applied to all fighters, his sticker boosts the player's launch resistance when used.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[]
In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Chef Kawasaki makes his debut as a summonable assist trophy. When used, Kawasaki's assist trophy is capable of throwing plates and grab foes with his ladle, with this second attack causing his foe to be dunked into a boiling pot in order to create recovery items. In addition, Kawasaki drops a recovery item just before leaving the stage as well.
Chef Kawasaki also appears in the game as one of its many spirits, with his taking the form of an ace-level, support-type spirit that significantly boosts the user's stats after eating a recovery item. In his spirit battle, the player fights a Pac-Man on the Dream Land stage, with Kawasaki's assist trophy being commonly summoned, the Pac-Man having a habit of consuming recovery items, and the Pac-Man becoming stronger after consuming said recovery items.
