Chen, Ping, Helen, and Lily are supporting characters in the 2022 Disney/Pixar film, Turning Red. They are Mei Lee's aunts.
They are voiced by Lillian Lim, Mia Tagano, Lori Tan Chinn and Sherry Cola.
History[]
The foursome show up at Lee Temple as Mei wanted to go out to a birthday party. The aunts greet her and Ming and are joined by Grandma Wu. In the evening, the aunts feed Mei a lot before doing the ritual so that she separates from her red panda. After a discussion with her father Jin, Mei joins her aunts, Wu and Mr. Gao to perform the ritual. As they all sing together, Mei is projected into the astral plane but refuses to part with her panda before breaking the ritual. In the action, she bumps into Ming who brings his giant panda back to life and heads for the stadium where the 4*Town concert is taking place.
The aunts, Wu, Gao, and Jin follow her and warn Mei that they must perform a new ritual to bring Ming back as a human. As Mei accidentally knocks out Ming Wu and the aunts transform into giant pandas to place her in the circle created by Jin. At the same time, they all sing and are accompanied by 4*Town who help them activate the circle before Gao sends the pandas into the astral plane. After reconciling with her mother, Mei decides to keep her panda who is definitely part of her. The aunts are last seen in a photograph exhibited at the Lee's temple.
