Cherri Bomb is a supporting character in the adult animated musical dark comedy series Hazbin Hotel.
She is a sinner demon who is Angel Dust's best friend and partner-in-crime. She is also Sir Pentious' archenemy turned love interest.
She was voiced Krystal LaPorte in the pilot (who also voices Mirai Kuriyama) and is voiced by Krystina Alabado in the series. Her singing voice in "ADDICT" was by Kelly Boyer (better known online as Chi-Chi).
Appearance[]
Cherri is a very slim and white-skinned humanoid cyclops demon with an hourglass figure, and a singular eye which has an X-shaped light yellow pupil and a sunkist coral-colored sclera. She sports freckle-like spots on her skin and long, strawberry blonde-pink hair with platinum blonde accents, kept in a left-sided high half-ponytail by a black ponytail-holder.
Her mouth features black lips and sharp pale yellow teeth inside, and she has several coral designs of bombs, explosions, and swirled-lines tattooed on her right arm.
Cherri wears a one-shouldered black bra under a similarly-designed, off-the-shoulder pinkish-red torn crop-top with four white spots around the black X located on the left, and a set of severely ripped black leggings under a torn miniskirt that sported the same color and style as her top.
She also wears shoes that are both colored in a pinkish-red but differing in type; on her right is a pointed flat shoe, while on her left is a heeled cowboy-like boot with a multi-pointed off-white star on it. She also has two different sets of fingerless coral-colored gloves; a regular-length glove on her right hand, and an elbow-length, black-trimmed glove on her left hand.

Cherri is shown to be a daring, bold, rebellious and willing girl who is willing to commit crimes of anarchism with a wide smile on her face. Her current motives for committing her deeds are unknown outside of what seems to be just pure thrill and joy.
Despite this, she has also shown to be a loyal and caring friend towards Angel Dust, as seen with her trying to comfort him in the ADDICT music video.
Cherri is shown to be daring, bold, and determined. She is self-confident and constantly smiles broadly, taking pleasure in committing arson and other various crimes. She is friendly, charismatic and fun-loving, often enjoying going out partying and living without stressing herself, believing she should have fun and not concern themselves with her life, to the point of taking drugs and even having sex with complete strangers.
Despite this wild and care-free persona, Cherri is shown to have a more sensitive side as well; in the ADDICT music video, it is shown that she often stays with Angel Dust and comforts him after he gets verbally or sexually abused by Valentino. She is also shown to be a supportive friend to Angel Dust; while she encourages him to let loose and finds the idea of the Hazbin Hotel ridiculous, she nonetheless supports his choices to try and be better, though she also mocks him for helping Niffty.
She can be easily bribed into doing something, as shown in "Welcome to Heaven" when Charlie gave her money to take Angel Dust and her the other Hotel members out for a fun night.
In "The Show Must Go On", she was happy to show up and fight the exorcists, saying that she loves fighting, especially if she can team up with Angel Dust.
Biography[]
Pilot[]
In the Pilot, her appearance has some notable difference; her hair was warmer-colored and had white accents along with the blonde accents, her lips are maroon with sharp gray teeth inside, and her tattoo is instead a gray heart design.
In addition to her clothing, the "X" shape on her top does not have the spots, her skirt sport white buttons with one loose suspender on her right, and the boot on her right foot instead had two white stripes on the top. Her fingerless gloves are that of a white-striped light gray glove on her right hand, and an arm-length black glove on her left hand.
Hazbin Hotel[]
Cherri Bomb's first appearance in the series proper occurs in episode six, where she barges into the Hotel hoping to find Angel Dust to invite him to a night out; Charlie takes this as an opportunity to keep the staff and clients occupied while she and Vaggie are at the meeting in Heaven, paying Cherri in order to bring the rest of them with her.
Later, Cherri takes them to Consent, a "sex club" nightclub where Cherri repeatedly attempts to persuade Angel Dust to use drugs and alcohol in order to forget his troubles. This is repeatedly countered by Husk, who reminds him how much progress he has made. Angel Dust is ultimately able to find some middle ground, able to have fun while not overindulging, also mustering the bravery to stand up to Valentino when he shows up and threatens to assault Niffty.
At the end of the episode, Angel Dust tries to convince Cherri to stay at the Hotel with them. Cherri politely refuses, saying she has no problem with her life of debauchery and hedonism, assuring him she'll be fine and will telling him she will keep in touch.
In episode 8, Cherri volunteers to help defend the Hotel, both to help Angel Dust and because, as she claims, it sounds like a fun idea. The night before the battle, Sir Pentious nervously tries to confess his feelings to her but leaves in a panic before he can. Angel Dust then tells her that she should get laid with Pentious, mentioning that he has two genitals, which Cherri finds interesting. During the battle, she is kissed by Sir Pentious, who professes his love for her before going off to fight Adam. Cherri then blushes and admits that the kiss was hot. She is then devastated to see Pentious get killed while trying to attack Adam. After Adam is killed by Niffty, Cherri helps rebuild the hotel and honor Sir Pentious' sacrifice.

- Object Creation: She seems able to create explosive devices (resembling "cartoon" type bombs) out of thin air.
- Immortality: As a Sinner, Cherri Bomb is biologically immortal, being unable to die from illnesses and unable to age, remaining the same age as when she died, thus can not die of old age and other natural causes. She also cannot die from any kind of damage to the body, and will recover from any injury, however, she can only be permanently killed with angelic weaponry.
Skillset[]
- Hand-to-Hand Combat: Cherri is shown to excel at hand-to-hand combat as shown during her brawl with Sir Pentious, as she was able to beat him single handedly with little effort.
- Weapon Proficiency: Cherri is an expert at handling weaponry, specifically explosives as she can maneuver them around and use them to her advantage easily.
- Athleticism: Cherri can get around easily during combat without exhausting herself.
- Enhanced Agility: Cherri can dodge most of her opponent's attacks and can make a comeback right afterwards.
- Enhanced Strength: Cherri is able to defeat Sir Pentious and his army of Egg Bois by herself even though she was outnumbered.
- Bomb Expert: Cherri Bomb is skilled in usage of many kinds of bombs and explosives such as dynamite and round bombs.
Trivia[]
- According to Vivziepop, Cherri Bomb is Australian. The only reason why she doesn't sound like one in the pilot is because she doesn't use the accent, though it can occasionally slip out. This is changed in the series proper, as she has a thick Australian accent whenever she speaks.
- Originally, she was Angel Dust's daughter, her true name was Isabella, and she was an angel. All of these have since been scrapped ideas.
- In 2020, Cherri Bomb is confirmed to be bisexual by Vivziepop.
- According to Krystal, if she were to describe Cherri with a song from My Chemical Romance, it'll be "Na Na Na".
- According to the Hazbin Hotel Playbill page posted on Vivziepop's Instagram, Cherri Bomb self-awarded herself "best explosions expert in Hell".
- Both Cherri's pilot and main series English voice actors have their names start with "Kryst-". Additionally, her voice actor's name for ADDICT also starts with K.
