Chester P. Runk is a major character of the CW series The Flash.
He is a former scientist turned online streamer and meta-human in Central City after his gravitational wave emitter malfunctioned. He has the ability to open black holes when his subconscious was sucked into one of his portals. He was stabilized by Barry Allen and he became a member of Team Flash after helping save Barry and gorilla Grodd from the latter's mind scape. In Season 7B, Chester replaced Cisco Ramon as the Tech support for Team Flash.
Biography[]
Season 6[]
Chester P. Runk's consciousness was sunk into a black hole, leaving him unconsciously creating them out of thin air. The first black hole sucked in Nora's jacket, which Iris was desperately trying to get back after her father accidentally threw it out. After the Team Flash figured out what went wrong, they were able to stabilize him, awakening chester. However, he had to be left in incubation for four weeks to rejuvenate but was presumed dead. Four weeks later, Chester woke up, proud to be in Star Labs. However, he found that the world thought he was dead and Frost ended up finding him. Fortunately, he was able to gain his license back and have his parking tickets expunged thanks to Cecile

Personality[]
Chester is usually a cheerful, optimistic and happy to lucky young man. The only times that he is serious is usually during dangerous situations or confronting his past, such as his father's death when he and Cisco were trapped in a Time loop by Deon Owens. He is also somewhat nerdy, being an online streamer and playing D&D. Starting in the second half of Season 7, Allegra joined Chuck in playing the gang. He truly means well and does whatever he can to prove himself to Barry Allen and Team Flash. When things go wrong, Chester sometimes puts the blame on himself, such as accidentally trapping Barry on Grodd's mind. On another incident, when Cecile was possessed by Psycho Pirate, it tricked Chuck and the rest of Team Flash into believing she was the real Cecile and manipulated them to steal the mask it needed. Sue Dearbon inadvertently made him feel worse, making him doubt his role on the team. However Chuck regained his confidence when Iris convinced him he was a valued member of Team Flash and Sue apologized to Chuck for her harsh words earlier.
As the series goes on, Chester and Allegra develop mutual feelings for each other and become boyfriend and girlfriend. Additionally, Allegra's relationship with Chuck made her feel nervous because this became her first honest relationship. He later reassured Allegra.
Chester also has a brave side to him. He has been shown to be extremely loyal to his friends. While he usually stays at S.T.A.R labs during most missions, Chester is not afraid to get into a fight if he has to in order to protect his friends.
