Chihiro Rokuhira is the main protagonist of the 2023 fantasy manga series, Kagurabachi.
He is a swordsmith alongside his father, Kunishige Rokuhira who is known as the most famous one in the country due to his talent in forging durable and powerful katanas.
Appearance[]
At the start of the story, aged 15, Chihiro is a regular-looking boy like everyone of his age with short black hair, brown irises and mostly an impassive facial expression, especially from his eyes. Having spent a lot of time training alongside his father in forging swords, he developed a slight muscular build and typically wore a black shirt.
As a time skip of three years took place, Chihiro's hair grew a bit longer and had a noticeable scar on the left side of his face. He is now in a black jacket and carries a katana on his side.

Chihiro is shown as calm and quiet while assisting in his and his father's work. He mostly carries this uninterested expression in his eyes while interacting with his father. Despite that, he is willing to become as talented as Kunishige whom he requested to teach him. Following a path just like the one of his father, he possesses an inquisitive nature, exemplified by his unwavering dedication to mastering the craft of swordsmithing under his tutelage. In the timeskip, he becomes more of a colder person and mercilessly slaughters an entire army of men without regards.
Despite his cold exterior, Chihiro does possess a softer side, shown when buys food for char and actively tries to protect her despite only meeting her recently. As noted by Shiba, Chihiro's experience living with his father makes him very good at looking after other people.
Powers and Abilities[]

- Swordmanship: Chihiro has displayed extraordinary swordsmanship when encountering a large of yakuza where he slaughters them all in one slash of his sword which maintains an unsual magic force.
- Enten: One of the words that Chihiro pronounces in order to activate magical techniques that he can unleash to his targets. Upon saying "Enten" water effect will appear around his blade with goldfishes emerging as he unleashes his blade.
- Kuro/Black: This technique shoots out flying slashes which are powerful enough to cut through several guards. Chihiro can also alter the size of the slashes for improved precision.
- Scatter/Chigiri: An extension of Kuro. Scatter can release up to 20 weaker kuro slashes at the same time. It uses the same amount of spirit energy as a regular Kuro but trades its power for the ability to release more rapid and compact slashes without without the need to exert much physical force.
- Red/Aka: Chihiro summons a red goldfish which he can use to protect him from any incoming attacks. Whatever attack the red goldfish blocks is absorbed by it. By saying "Red" followed by the name of the opponent's attack, Enten fires the same attack in the direction that the blade is pointing.
- Nishiki: When activated it summons the three-colored goldfish which becomes a 'cloak' which can be worn, This technique imbues every one of Chihiro's attacks with high-density spirit energy, resulting in significantly more powerful attacks. Nishiki also grants Chihiro greatly improved movement speed and agility.

- A day before the first chapter was even published, people across the internet have already built a community and started create a popular meme depicting on how the series is gonna be a massive success.
- This trending meme came from another popular one which had the same humor that was trending in late 2021; the American movie Morbius, where people have made numerous memes lying at how great the movie was (which in reality is the opposite). Aditionally, much like the fake "It's morbin' time" catchphrase, an edited image of a panel from the manga also circulated into the internet, which depicted Chihiro saying "I will become the Kagura Bachi".
