The Children are the main protagonists of the Taiwanese folklore Aunt Tiger. They are a pair of siblings who are left alone at home when their parents go outside.
Story[]
The children were left in their house after their parents departed to visit a sick relative, who warned them not to open the door to strangers. They were initially tricked by the wicked Aunt Tiger disguised as their relative. After one younger sibling was consumed, the older sibling used their wits to buy time. The older sibling feigned a need to relieve themselves, asked the Aunt Tiger to tie a long rope to their ankle as a safety measure while they went to a tree outside. The older sibling then tied the rope to a heavy object and quickly climbed to the top of the tree, where the younger sibling later joined them. They then lured the Aunt Tiger up the tree with a promise of "good luck fat" (or a variation). It resulted in her demise.
