Chisato Nishikigi is the main protagonist of the anime series Lycoris Recoil. She is a worker at Café LycoReco with her partner and best friend Takina Inoue.
She was voiced by Chika Anzai in Japanese and Lizzie Freeman in English.
Background[]
Chisato Nishikigi was an upbeat girl who was a pacifist, the young Lycoris secret agent and a waitress from Cafe LycoReco who was joyful for her life. Chisato was a young orphan who was adopted by the agency organization, called Direct Attack, an organization which eliminates terrorism around Japan. In Chisato’s training, she took part of the security force defense course and got an A+ ranking for her good performance and then to Special Guard Force Tactics Unit before her grade was dropped to D-. During her life as a Lycoris, Chisato has a congenital heart disease before being picked up Ed by the Alan Institute to replace Chisato’s heart like the artificial heart to continue her life. Chisato gained respect to her commander, Kusunoki to be the top-tier Lycoris for protecting the DA’s Radio Tower before her fame was spread from rural areas. After her Lycoris career, Chisato worked as a waitres s at the LycoReco for her rest of her life.
Appearance[]
Chisato is a 17-18 year old medium height girl with white hair with a red ribbon attached to her hair. She has red eyes. She always has an Alan Institute pendant on her neck. Whenever she work at the cafe LycorReco, she wear a dark kimono covered by a red samue with green and dark blue.
When operating as a Lycoris, she wears her red 1st Lycoris uniform, which is a red and grey pleated dress, paired with black calf-high socks and brown loafers.
When working at Café LycoReco, she wears a red samue with dark blue and lime-green accents, a dark blue kimono skirt, and a beige apron wrapped around her waist. She also wears an Alan Institute pendant around her neck at all times
Personality[]
Chisato is a very energetic and happy-go-lucky pseudo-pacifist who prefers to help people, refuses to kill anyone, and runs an establishment which helps the poor and downtrodden in society. She is the only one who can help teach Takina, her partner, to be a better person outside and inside their job as government-sponsored counter-terrorism agents.

Movement Prediction[]
Chisato possesses the innate ability to dodge attacks, up to and including bullets, with ease.
Chisato is a genius at predicting her opponent's next move. Utilizing information such as the movement of muscles and clothing, a weapon's characteristics and ballistic properties, the shooter's line of sight, and trigger finger position, she can time the perfect evasive maneuver or counterattack. Chisato also accounts for the experience of her opponents. Fuki surmised that the more precise the shooter, the easier it is for her to dodge. As shots become more consistent, they become more predictable. As such, she is even able to dodge projectiles at point-blank range.
Athleticism[]
Chisato displays abnormally high levels of raw athleticism, with strength, stamina, agility, and reaction times far surpassing even the top Lycoris at DA Headquarters. When completing her physical fitness test alongside Fuki, an A-rated 1st Lycoris, she far outperforms her peer with little exertion. She is also extremely physically resilient, being able to perform without compromise even after sustaining intense physical trauma.
First Aid[]
Per her commitment to resolving conflicts non-lethally, Chisato is adept at quickly administering first aid to both allies and enemies in the battlefield. This includes quickly fashioning a tourniquet from scavenged materials to slow down blood loss.

- "Chisato" mean "thousand" + hometown and her last name, Nishikigi brocade tree but also mean tree and wood.
