Cobra Kai[]
Season 2[]
Chris and his best friend Mitch were among the students who were inspired to join Cobra Kai after seeing Miguel Diaz's impressive performance at the All Valley Under 18 Karate Tournament.
He trains under Sensei Johnny Lawrence and the latter's Sensei John Kreese. During a training session where students must mix concrete in the cement mixer, Chris is one of the few mixing concrete, and he, Mitch, Miguel, Hawk, and a few others were also pushing the cement drum together. He later participates in the All Valley Fest with his classmates.
Chris and Mitch later accompanied Hawk along with Doug Rickenburger and Mikey to go confront Demetri over a negative Yelp review he had left for Cobra Kai following his encounter with John Kreese. After Demetri refused to take the review down, Hawk and his goons attacked him, with Chris hesitating. When they are unable to find Demetri, Chris advises Hawk to leave him alone, but Hawk refuses to listen. When they surround him, they were fought off by Samanta LaRusso and Robby Keene.
After Hawk's gang vandalized the Miyagi-Do dojo under Kreese's orders, the Cobra Kai's were confronted by Daniel LaRusso. Growing tired of mistreatment from Hawk and the aggressive attitude of the other Cobra Kais, Chris was among the handful of students, including Nathaniel, who left Cobra Kai to join Miyagi-Do. Out of confusion, Mitch (who stayed with Cobra Kai) questions his decision to leave.
While Sam, Robby and Demetri help Daniel fix their trashed dojo, Chris emerges from the dojo's entry and openly states he wants to join Miyagi-Do, before being noticed by Robby who confronts him due to his actions at the mall. Chris later apologizes to Demetri, and Daniel welcomes him into Miyagi-Do.
However, Chris and Demetri have trouble getting along at first due to the latter still holding a grudge against Chris. They bicker and argue to the point where Demetri taunts Chris, and he later pushes Demetri to the ground with ease. Robby states Chris can't change, and Daniel then intervenes and reveals he was once a member of Cobra Kai. Daniel assembles all of his students, including Chris and Demetri, and tells them about his time at Cobra Kai. Demetri later has a change of heart and decides to complete a mission with Chris' help, and once they complete their task, the two then decide to put their differences aside and become friends.
Sam is alerted that Moon is throwing a party the night before the first day of school, and that she can invite her friends from Miyagi-Do. Chris, Demetri, Sam, Robby, and their fellow students enter the party and soon come face to face with their rivals. As the night goes when Demetri roasts Hawk; he and Mitch attempt to attack Demetri, but are physically blocked by Chris and Robby. Just as Robby, Mitch, Hawk, Chris, many of the students are about to come to blows, the cops then arrive, causing the party to end, with the beef between both dojos reaching a new high before their first day back at school.
After first period is over, the showdown between both dojos begin. Chris implies they need to take action to stop the confrontation from getting out of hand, but Demetri takes this the wrong way and attempts to get a teacher involved. As the levels to the fight rise, one of Chris' co-students is punched and thrown to the wall by Mitch, Chris tries to help him out before grabbing Mitch's full attention, the former friends exchange words before Mitch throws a punch at Chris before missing and Chris replies with a strong kick to the back, sending Mitch flying into a locker, but he shrugs it off to take on Chris. The two continue to battle it out with Chris dominating the fight, skillfully defending all of Mitch's attacks and landing strikes of his own. Despite gaining the upper-hand at first, he is eventually kicked to the ground. However, with Mitch seeing fit to taunt him while he is down, he uses this opening to take a textbook and smack Mitch with it, knocking him out and ultimately winning the fight against his former pal.
Season 3[]
Chris is still at odds with the Cobra Kai's, most notably Mitch. He returns to school two weeks after the fight. He, Demetri, and Nathaniel have a confrontation with Mitch, Hawk, and Bert. Shortly, Counselor Blatt arrives and asks if everything is okay before the rivals walk away. Chris and Nathaniel briefly encounter Moon and Yasmine with Nate mocking Yasmine by saying “Sup front wedgie” and Chris laughing at the same time.
The Miyagi-Do students make a fundraiser through a car wash to fund Miguel's surgery, to help him recover from his injuries he received at the end of the school fight, with Chris washing the cars. After Nathaniel is beaten up by Hawk and Mitch, who stole Miyagi-Do's fundraising money to take credit for Miguel's surgery, Samantha re-opens Miyagi-Do, with Chris re-joining.
One day at the Golf N Stuff, where Chris works, Hawk, Mitch, Mikey, and Doug get up to no good in the arcade including stealing prizes, causing Chris to call Sam for help. Sam, Demetri, and two other Miyagi-Do students arrive to help their friend, resulting in a fight to break out between Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai in the abandoned laser tag. Chris is attacked from behind by Mitch, but replies with an elbow to the face, knocking him back. Mitch then attacks but is denied by Chris' solid defending. Left exposed, Chris uses his agility to sneak under Mitch's punch and drop him to the floor with ease, beating him one on one. Miyagi-Do gain full dominance during the fight until more Tory Nichols and more Cobra's arrive on the premises, which results in them being outnumbered. Chris is soon grabbed and held by Doug, he calls out for Sam's aid but she is unable to which results in Mitch later returning to help Doug brutally beat up Chris, which earns him and his friends a trip to hospital. Later, Daniel reopens Miyagi-Do and continues training Chris and the students.
A couple days later, Sam invites Chris, Demetri and their co-students to her house, claiming that she was going to a party. She insists that they're waiting for a keg, but when the doorbell rings, things aren't what they seem. Members of the Eagle Fang Karate (Counter dojo against Cobra Kai) which includes Mitch (who was kicked out by Kreese after losing to Kyler Park during the latter's tryouts) and Bert, arrive under Sam's permission, as she wants both dojos to work together. Chris is one of the first to deny the chance of them working together, stating that breaking Demetri's arm isn't easily forgivable but Mitch said that Miyagi-Do started the fight and Chris counters that he nearly lost his job at Golf N Stuff. Even after sitting down for several minutes he isn't really prepared to work with former Cobra's, but all the beef is squashed and they soon come to an agreement after Demetri makes a speech. The group come up with ideas for their new dojo, just before several Cobra Kai's break in, resulting in a fight breaking out. Chris fights with Doug and the match appears to be even, until Tory steps in and helps Doug take him down. Chris and Mitch finally take out Doug and his friends to ultimately win the fight, partly helped due to Hawk defecting and helping his side.
Sometime after the fight, Demetri, Chris, Sam and the other Miyagi-Do students arrive at their dojo. Soon after Eagle Fang students emerge from the dojo's entry where Hawk reunites with Demetri, Bert reunites with Nate and Mitch reunites with Chris. The pair hug and put their former rivalry behind them before their first training session with Johnny and Daniel.
Season 4[]
Chris still remains loyal to Daniel and Miyagi-Do. He takes part in several training sessions with his sensei and newly appointed co-sensei Johnny. As things were beginning to looking upwards for Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang, tensions rise between Johnny and Daniel as well as Chris and former enemy Hawk. Chris confronts Hawk over his past actions, including the time he stole Mr. Miyagi's medal and assaulted Nate. Still holding a grudge, Chris later tells Hawk that he isn't wanted at the dojo, followed by some harsh words from Daniel. Eventually, Chris and the Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang help clear out space at the Miyagi-Do dojo after Hawk came up with an idea to build an Okinawan sparring deck like the painting and the two dojos were able to create it. As Daniel and Johnny agreed to train their dojos with a different style, Chris and the Miyagi-Do students would train with Johnny. Chris is also at the drive-in with his friends where they almost get into a confrontation between the Cobra Kai's, Eagle Fang's, and the Miyagi-Do's, which results in Miguel pranking the Cobra's with sprinklers.
Once things start to escalate even further between both sensei’s, with Daniel and Johnny having a 1984 rematch where the winner will take over the training. During the fight, Chris records the whole thing on his phone while he and Mitch have a commentary on the event. The fight results the sensei's knocking each other out and no winner is declared. After an argument between the sensei's, the plan for both dojos to work together comes to an end.
Both dojos begin to train separately before the All-Valley and just as they do, a new set of adjustments for the tournament head their way, including a separate division for the ladies as well as a weapons display and a division for the boys. Daniel insists that this is good news and lets his male students know he believes in them, but his positivity is later denied by Demetri and Chris. They speak out amongst their fellow students and don't believe they stand a chance at all, doubting their fighting ability and providing evidence that they still lack confidence. Chris states that Miyagi-Do was better off with Hawk and Miguel while Demetri mentions Robby. Eventually, Hawk has returned to Miyagi-Do, deciding to join the team rather than remaining in Eagle Fang, and Chris and the others welcomes him back.
On the day of the All-Valley, Miyagi-Do are one of the first up to present their skills in the weapons display. Chris eases past the tasks, easily demolishing five layers of brick and several planks of wood. Chris also makes it to the Round of 16, but loses in a close match to Cobra Kai's Kyler, when the latter utilizes the Miyagi-Do techniques. Chris can be seen motivating his co-students as they step up in the following stages of the tournament and celebrating with his team when Hawk win the boys division against Robby.
Season 5[]
Chris and Miyagi-Do meet where Daniel LaRusso says that he is adhering to the bet and is closing down the dojo. He ends the meeting saying that Miyagi-Do will remain inside of them.
Later, Chris is with Bert and Nate, they catch Mitch eating a free brownie from Cobra Kai's new location at a mall, causing the latter to put the free snacks down and leave with the group.
Both Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang students begin training with Chozen. He gives each student an egg as well as time to hide but are picked off with ease by their new sensei. After Anthony's idea, the lesson ends with the students learning a new lesson on working together in order to protect something of value.
Chris along with Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang goes to the Cobra Kai dojo to fight against them in order to qualify for the Sekai Taikai tournament. During the girls match, Sam wins her match and because the organizers are impressed with the dojo, Miyagi-Do qualifies. He later attends the afterparty at Miguel's apartment. Chris can be seen enjoying himself, before Sam accidentally bumps into him after seeing Miguel kiss another girl. As Chris realizes it too, he watches on as his friend leaves the party in tears.
Ready to put things to an end, Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang, along with a redeemed Tory, arrive at the Cobra Kai dojo to find evidence on Silver. However, the Cobra Kai students arrive and confront them. After an intense face-off, it's revealed by Kenny and Kyler that Mitch rejoined Cobra Kai and informed them of the Miyagi-Fang's plan to break into the dojo. A fight later breaks out, Chris can be seen fighting against Mitch and a fellow Cobra Kai student. He can be seen defending himself against both at the same time, punching the Cobra in the gut before facing off one on one against Mitch. The two can be seen fighting each other, with Chris defeating Mitch and claiming victory for a third time. He and the rest of the Miyagi-Fang's are also able to protect Anthony from the Cobra Kai students while Anthony uses Demetri's tablet to upload the video of Silver confessing his crimes to Tory.
After a lengthy fight between the students, Daniel and Silver arrive. The two senseis later take on one another with Daniel coming out on top, defeating Silver once and for all.
Season 6[]
At Miaygi-Do, Chris is sparring with Devon, Bert, and Nate. Shortly, Mitch arrives, having rejoined Miyagi-Fang after quitting Cobra Kai. However, they are upset over Mitch's betrayal but make up with him after he promised not to make any more heel turns by showing his half Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang shirt he's wearing. Chris asks if he has an XL shirt which Mitch does and gives one to him and the two hug, restoring their friendship. Chris and Mitch are also attending the college fair at West Valley High School.
During training, Hawk tells Chris, Kenny, and Nate about his excitement about where the Sekai Taikai is going to be held with Chris guessing that it may be in Taiwan since he's been wanting to eat Din Tai Fung despite Nate telling him that there's one in Glendale much to Chris' surprise. The next day, Hawk shows a video of Gunther revealing that the tournament will take place is in Barcelona, Spain. However, he explains the selection process and that each dojo would need to pick six fighters, much to the disappointment of the students.
Before the tournament, Mike Barnes has the students undergo rigorous training processes. After the first session, Chris is one of the twelve students who moves on to the next round. He is happy for Mitch when he gets a new nickname, “Muscles.” Chris ends up losing a spot after all of his flags were taken by his classmates. He then watches the tiebreaker race between Hawk, Demetri, Kenny, and Devon in the woods which results with Demetri and Devon's victory.
Later, Chris watches the captain’s match between Miguel and Robby first and then Sam and Tory, which resulted with Robby’s victory and Sam earning the position after Tory leaves the team and presumably quits karate following her mother's death and Hawk takes her spot. When the captains for Miyagi-Do are officially chosen, Chris gives the Sekai Taikai headband to Johnny and Daniel so the sensei's can give it on Robby and Sam. With training over, Chris remains in the valley with several of his classmates while Johnny, Daniel, Robby, Sam, Miguel, Hawk, Demetri, and Devon heads to Barcelona to compete in the Sekai Taikai.

Trivia[]
- Chris advising Hawk to leave Demetri alone is similar to former Cobra Kai Bobby Brown advising his gang, particularly Johnny, to leave Daniel alone.
- Chris is the first major character to ditch Cobra Kai and join Miyagi-Do.
- Furthermore, Chris reunites with Johnny after his short stint in Cobra Kai.
- Chris made it to the Round of 16 during the All-Valley Tournament, meaning he would've had to beaten two fighters before reaching that stage of the proceedings.
- Although Chris was a student at Cobra Kai before joining Miyagi-Do, he was never an antagonist.
- The main Cobra Kai student Chris has come up against is Doug; they've never come face to face alone due to Mitch and Tory getting involved on two separate occasions and attacking Chris whilst he takes on Doug. This can be due to his size and skill being seen as a threat.
- It is revealed that Chris did beat Doug at the end of the fight to help out Mitch; however, the scene which shows him actually taking him down was deleted.
