Christina "Chris" Parker is the main protagonist of the 1987 Touchstone film Adventures in Babysitting. She is a senior high school student who was tasked to babysit two children, one of whom is her classmate Brad Anderson, and the other is Brad's little sister, Sara.
Due to crazy events that follow subsequently, what was seemingly supposed to be a seamless and ordinary babysitting job turns into a series of high-action and comical adventures into the night in Chicago, Illinois.
She was portrayed by Elizabeth Shue.
Biography/Plot[]
Chris Parker is a senior high school student who attends an unknown/unnamed high school with Brad Anderson and Daryl Coopersmith. She is the best friend of Brenda and the boyfriend of Mike Toddwell. One day, after Mike cancelled his date plans with Chris due to his "sick sister" Chris was depressed in her room until she was given the opportunity from her mother to babysit the Anderson's two children, Brad and Sarah. After reluctantly accepting the task, Chris arrives at the Anderson's resident with with her station wagon.
Upon entering their home, Chris was greeted by the parents and introduced to Sara and brad though Chris already knew the latter. After the Anderson parents leave their home, Chris was left to babysit Brad and Sara. Sara eventually revealed to Chris that Brad had an undying crush on her near the first floor of the stairway which Chris simply played off and Brad felt visibly shook by knowing that Chris now knows. It's worth noting Sara pulled this humorous because Brad called Thor a "homo" to which angered her with when he insulted her idol.
After chilling in the living room for a bit, Chris received a phone call from a disturbed Brenda panicking about her situation and being stuck in the subway station without anyway of returning home. After hearing this shocked news, Chris attempted to venture out to save her friend, but after this information made its way to Brad and Sara who overheard the conversation, they wanted to join in simply to enjoy their adventure of a lifetime to which Chris VERY reluctantly brough them along. As the trio were heading to Chris's car, Brad's friend, Daryl Coopersmith emerges from the corner and asks to tag along with them to which already annoyed the already stressed Chris.

Personality[]
Chris is a protective, kind, responsible, and honest girl. She is able to keep Brad, Sara, and Daryl under her rader given that the four remain close by for the majority of the film. Chris's responsible nature is very evident is due to the fact that she's the oldest of the four, aside from the fact that she was also tasked to babysit the two, now three kids.
Despite her promising traits, Chris also has her moments of arrogance and pride. Such moments included her her sarcastically threatening Brad and Daryl that if they stepped out of line, she would have them "Dead, murdered, stabbed..." another moment of her negative traits involve her prideful side where when the four where being kidnapped by Joe Gipp, the kids would humorously degrade her babysitting skills by saying that "she's freaking out" to which she overdramatically denies it.
