He was born in the late 1800's in england, much of his early life is unknown. At some point his relationship with his father went sour, likely due to his father believing art is evil and love is a waste of time and telling his son he would waste his life away.
After performing all the songs in Moulin Rouge, Christian silently bids farewell to Satine before leaving. However, the tuberculosis catches up to Satine, who arising her neck upward, falls in Christian's arms. A dying Satine then professes her love for Christian and tells him to tell our story before losing her counsciousness. Christian, sad because he loved a lady who loves him, mourns Satine's demise and attends her funeral.
