Chromia (WFC Trilogy)

Chromia is an female Autobot warrior from the animated series Transformers: War for Cybertron. She is a key member of the Autobot resistance against the Decepticons, along with other prominent characters like Elita-One, Red Alert, and Jetfire.

She was voiced by Georgia Reed in the Netflix series.

History[]

Transformers: War for Cybertron - Siege[]

Chromia was with the injured Autobots at the clinic when Elita-One, Wheeljack, and Bumblebee returned from their mission. She is then sent with Optimus Prime's team to the false coordinates of the Allspark, which, unbeknownst to them, led to the Decepticon trap. Chromia tells her squad to remain alert and to remember that retrieval of the Allspark is only half the mission. They have to bring it back to base as well.

Cog notices a light and cautiously go to retrieve what they discover is simply highly concentrated Energon. Impactor watches from above as they take the bait. He shoots the Energon, severely injuring Cog and Chromia drags him to safety. Barricade gets the upper hand on Chromia, using the dust and fog to his advantage. He holds her at gunpoint but Hound saves her. She then rode on the back of Optimus with the injured Cog as they retreat from the attack.

Later, after Mirage's attempted holographic infiltration of a Decepticon squad failed, Chromia covers for him, shooting from higher up. Chromia accompanies Optimus, Elita, Wheeljack, and Mirage to meet with Ratchet to ask for his help in repairing the Spacebridge. They follow him inside an abandoned theater, where he has set up a clinic for injured bots. Ratchet refuses to go back to that life and he pulls out a blaster and demands that they leave. When Mirage prepares for a fight, the Decepticon Impactor tackles him to the ground. They can’t believe that he’s healed Impactor. Ratchet agrees to allow Optimus, Elita, Chromia, and Wheeljack to stay long enough for them to plead their case. He has no desire to help them repair the Space Bridge. He has no desire to help them fix the Spacebridge. However, upon learning that Megatron plans to weaponize the Allspark, he reconsiders and agrees to help them.

Chromia is sent with the team to repair the Spacebridge. She served as a lookout duty with Sideswipe and manages to eliminate three Seekers who attacked the group. Chromia continued to guard the bridge as Mirage cast a large hologram to hide it from the Decepticons. Once Mirage's hologram finally failed, Chromia had to exchange fire with more Seekers.

She tried to hold the Autobots' position beside the activated Spacebridge. Chromia was blasted trying to provide coverage for Optimus Prime as he boarded the Ark, and was one of those who stayed on Cybertron after the ship launched through the Spacebridge. She placed herself under the command of Elita-One to continue the resistance on Cybertron.

Transformers: War for Cybertron - Earthrise[]

Chromia was with Elita-One's Autobot group helping to free a group of Decepticons prisoners. At their base in the old theater, after receiving possible information from Steeljaw who claimed to have infiltrated one of the larger prison camps, Elita asked Chromia to prepare for another mission to assault the Decepticon prison camp at Kaon Arena. The group reconnoitered the next camp and suspected it might be a trap.

Chromia shot down the few guards and a Decepticon attacking Elita. They reached the prison camp and eliminated numerous Decepticons. However, they, as suspected, fell into a trap set by Starscream, who brought them to Megatron, who had been draining Energon from the Decepticons for his Project Nemesis.

Imprisoned, the Autobots attempted to decipher Project Nemesis. Chromia, Red Alert, and Jetfire wonder what Elita’s learned. She didn’t learn much, and she doesn't believe Megatron had told his people why he was extracting their sparks. They then try to break their way out of their cell but fail to do so successfully. They can’t even send a distress signal as HQ is deserted and Omega Supreme has been down since Crystal City fell. The group was brought back to Megatron and placed in tubes to be drained. As the machinery activated, it quickly shut down, and Scrapface rescued the group, helping them escape. Chromia knocked out Skytread, who was skeptical of Megatron's methods, and let them escape.

Chromia and the others returned to the Autobot base with Scrapface's Decepticons, trying to avoid detection from patrols. The group watched Shockwave's message summoning all Decepticons to Kaon with false promises of protection. Chromia pledged her support in returning and stopping Megatron's plan.

Elita's group returned to the Kaon Arena, only to find it largely deserted. They began laying timed explosive charges to demolish the place, but Chromia was suddenly shot in the chest from out of nowhere and dropped to the ground. Decepticons utilizing stealth camouflage appeared and took the others prisoner, leaving Chromia for dead. She managed to get back up and snipe all the attackers, including Skytread, who tried to beg for mercy.

Afterwards, Chromia and the others then tried to flee the area before the charges detonated, but couldn't get far enough and died in the massive explosion.

Transformers: War for Cybertron - Kingdom[]

After the Allspark was returned to its Temple on Cybertron by Bumblebee, Chromia was among the Lifesparks who witnessed Elita banish Galvatron and Nemesis Prime. Chromia and the other deceased Transformers' Lifesparks then rejoined the Allspark, which restored Cybertron's vitality.
