Chuchu is a major protagonist in Kirby's Dream Land 3. She is a pink octopus that is best suited for water.

Role in the series

She does her support for Rick and the characters. So she feeds the enemies to Kirby or Gooey and share and enhance whatever ability they currently have. She can stick onto ceilings and "walk" on them and float like a jellyfish. When Kirby is paired with ChuChu, she can swallow enemies while underwater.

Kirby picks her instead of Rick in level 1 intro.

In level 2 intro Kine takes kirby from ChuChu, much to her annoyance.

In level 3 intro she saw the flower being crushed by Gooey and then she is upset with Kirby, Rick and Coo, then Gooey licks her, ChuChu does not like this at all and punches Gooey at the wall, frightening Kirby, Rick and Coo.

In level 5 intro she wants to make a snowman alongside Nago, and they accidentally end up putting Gooey inside it, getting scared when they discover him.

In Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, when the player mixes the Stone and Cutter abilities, Kirby gains the mix ability Animal Statues, which lets him turn into statues of any of his past animal friends, including ChuChu. Kirby can hop around when becoming this statue.

In Kirby: Canvas Curse, ChuChu appears as one of Paint Roller's drawings in the sub-game Paint Panic.

In Kirby: Planet Robobot, ChuChu appears as a collectible sticker.

In Team Kirby Clash Deluxe and Super Kirby Clash, ChuChu's likeness is used for one of the sets of Gear Doctor Healmore can obtain. Kirby can purchase and use the Chuchu Flask and Chuchu Cap from the Shoppe; the cap implies to be ChuChu herself, as it even moves and blinks (although the game jokingly states this is "a trick of the light").

In Kirby Star Allies she makes a cameo appearance as one of the attacks of the Clean ability like Nago and Pitch.
