NOTE: This article is about the incarnation of Mokap from the Mortal Kombat Legends films. The mainstream version can be found here: Mokap. |
Charles "Chuck" Golden is the tritagonist of the Mortal Kombat animated film Mortal Kombat Legends: Cage Match. He is Johnny Cage's secretary and personal assistant, as well as his number one fan. He aids Johnny during his rise in Hollywood and later joins him in his quest to uncover the secrets behind the supernatural incidents he witnessed during the shooting of his newest film. Although he is a canon foreigner and really not much a fighter, he still shows extraordinary courage while helping Johnny and his assistance proves to be essential to save the world after Lord Shinnok is summoned. He is later revealed to be the Legends timeline counterpart of Mokap, a joke character from the main Mortal Kombat series.
He was voiced by Dusan Brown.
Appearance[]
Chuck is a young black male with short hair, dressed formally like a secretary and with a bow tie. He wears glasses. Though he initially doesn't resemble Mokap as seen in the games, in the ending of the film we see him don the traditional motion capture suit that is his trademark in the series.
Personality[]
Chuck is bright, mild-mannered and capable of many things. He acts like the brains behind Johnny and is always there to attend him. His relationship with Johnny goes beyond just professionalism as he thinks very highly of him and tries to mold his entire personality to his teachings. When in trouble, he thinks to himself: "what would Johnny Cage do?". Chuck is shown to be remarkably brave throughout the film, despite not being a fighter he risks his life multiple times to help Johnny and Ashrah save Earthrealm.
