Cindy (シンディ) is a supporting character in Tōshō Daimos. She was voiced by Mari Okamato.

Appearance[]

Cindy has pale skin and light brown hair tied into a bun. Like most of the Baam-Seijin, Cindy dresses in atture resembling Ancient Roman garb. She has large eyes that appear to be light green, dark blue or black in different frames, and wears a red headpiece.

Personality[]

Cindy is bubbly and energetic, and when she re-united with Erika, she embraced her in a long hug. She was appointed to the Baam Empire's battlefront base, but her specific role was unknown.

History[]

She is Erika's best friend and the two used to play together as children. When Erika fell to Earth and lost her memory, the two were temporarily separated, but when Cindy was able to see her again, she was elated. Cindy is supportive of Erika's romance with Kazuya and when Margarete told her of Erika's guilt over supposedly killing his father, Cindy took her to the memory room and reminded her that as children, Erika once told Cindy that she must always face obstacles and never back down from them. Erika thanked Cindy and Margaret for helping her restore her spirit, and asked Cindy to deliver a gift to Kazuya.

Cindy arrives to Earth, where she encounters Kyoshiro, and informs him of Erika's package. It turns out to be a music box that has a voice message from Erika saying that she wants to meet Kazuya again, and gives him a specific time and location. Kyoshiro is initially against this as he fears it may be a trap, but when Kazuya is stubborn about seeing Erika again, he remarks that love is blind and gives him his blessing.

When Erika confesses her guilt of (accidentally) killing Kazuya's father to Margarete, she tells Cindy, who takes Erika to the memory room. Cindy reminded Erika of an incident from when they were children, when Erika saved her from a storm. After she saved her, Erika told Cindy that she must always face obstacles and never back down from them, because all storms eventually pass.

Margaret then enters the memory room and says that Erika must see Kazuya and tell him everything. She says that if Kazuya truly loves her, he will understand it was a mistake and forgive her. Margaret confesses to Erika that while she was initially against her romance with Kazuya, she quickly realized that he was the one for her and supports him courting her.

Erika thanks Cindy and Margaret for helping her restore her spirit, and asked Cindy to deliver a gift to Kazuya. While attempting to give him the gift, she is intercepted Kyoshiro, who angrily yells at her for being a Baamite, though he later realizes that Cindy is one of the good ones and opposes the war. The gift turns out to be a music box with a message for Kazuya. Unbeknownst to Erika and Cindy, Raiza saw them depart, and sends Balbas to retrieve them.

As Erika and Kazuya reunite, Balbas arrives in a mecha, injuring Kazuya. Erika orders Cindy to help him to the Tryper. Though Kazuya forms Daimos and defeats the mecha, he is unable to save Erika and Cindy, who fall to Balbas' clutches. After they're taken back to the Undersea Castle, Raiza has her forces whip Cindy badly.

Raiza forces Erika into piloting a mecha that kills the pilot (as revenge for "causing Richter to worry"). She threatens to have Margarete and Cindy tortured further if she doesn't comply. Knowing it will kill her, Erika pilots the mecha near the Daimovic base area, confesses to Kazuya that she killed Isamu, and then attempts suicide by attempting to abandon the robot. However, it turns out that there is an escape pod in the mecha that sends Erika back to the Undersea Castle.

On Richter's orders, Margarete, Cindy and Erika are sent to prison, set to be executed the next day. Hours before the execution, Margarete and Cindy stage a diversion for Erika's freedom by having the latter pretend she is sick. As the Baam soldiers investigate, they are mugged, and Margarete injects Erika with a serum that makes her faint (tricking Richter and his forces into thinking she's dead). Once the Baam soldiers find out they staged a ruse, Cindy is executed for being a traitor. However, Erika and Margarete are rescued by rebels.

Abilities[]
