Biography[]
Cindy was vacationing with two friends, Judy and Corinne, when she met and befriended Ultra Magnus, who rescued Corinne after their camper van crashed and gave the trio a lift. Cindy became especially fond of Magnus but was tricked by his old enemy Galvatron into telling him where he was. She fled the subsequent battle between the pair and encountered future Autobots Rodimus Prime, Kup and Blurr, who had travelled back in time to try and stop Galvatron. Her recent experience led to her taking a long time to trust them, but eventually she helped work out Galvatron's plan to trigger a nearby volcano and absorb its energy, which would destroy most of the surrounding area. Ultra Magnus planned to keep Galvatron occupied while the others worked out a way to forcibly return Galvatron to the future. He told Cindy to leave first. Cindy was upset, realising Ultra Magnus expected to die, but left anyway.
Some months later, Cindy learned the outcome of the encounter when she heard of the discovery of Ultra Magnus and Galvatron, who had been buried in lava as a result of the eruption. She went to the site to try and free Ultra Magnus. However, immediately after, the site was attacked by Soundwave and the Combaticons, who were under orders to destroy Galvatron. Cindy met Goldbug and Rollbar nearby, who had come for the same reason as her, but Goldbug admitted that they couldn't pass up a chance to be rid of Galvatron, even if Ultra Magnus would die too. Cindy disagreed and enlisted the help of journalist Joy Meadows and archeologist Susan Hoffman to stop the Decepticons' plan. Using a commandeered tank and the Decepticons' own explosives, they managed to set off an explosion that took down some of the Combaticons, but Onslaught was still conscious and prepared to kill them. They were rescued by the Throttlebots, who deactivated the Decepticons' explosives.
