Circe is a supporting character from the Cartoon Network animated series Generator Rex.
Much like Rex Salazar, she was an Exponentially Variegated Organism, or EVO, who has the ability to produce strong levels of sonic screams, only that she's curable from her mutation. She is also Rex's personal friend and love interest.
She was voiced by Tara Sands.
Biography[]
Sometime before the events of Generator Rex took place, she became affected by the nanite pandemic, where those creatures were abuptly brought up in the atmosphere via an undisclosed explosion, resulting in her becoming an EVO herself, where has the ability to mutate her mouth and produce sonic screams with it.
She was also a former member of Van Kleiss' the Pack, who are occasional fugitives to Providence (where Rex works), in which she once believed that their boss is the "only hope" for every EVO species. Despite this, however, she occasionally allies with Rex (Kleiss' archenemy), as well, especially whenever it's necessary. Once she realizes Kleiss' true nature, she eventually turned against him and officially left the Pack. Afterwards, Rex proposed to her about being Providence's new worker, but she turned it down (knowing her previous history with the organization itself), although he also proposed to her about being with his old group from Hong Kong, to which she accepted.
However, things would take a turn for the worse for her after Black Knight took over Providence and ruled the organiztion with an iron fist. This resulted in every possible EVO being ruthlessly seen as targets by the organization under her rule, which tragically resulted in Circe herself being unlawfully imprisoned within that same organization, but not without her act of salvation for Rex from being incarcerated there, as well.
Much later, as Black Knight got deposed and fled away from Providence with her allies for good, Rex was about to cure every possible EVO in the world who is curable with his healing powers, One of those cured subjects is Circe, who eventually got released from false imprisonment and was reunited with him once more.
Personality[]
Circe is a rather conflicted girl. While she is definitely a capabale fighter herself, further aided by her EVO power of sonic screams, she has also been an established as a member of Van Kleiss' Pack, which made her blinded by his dubious philosophy about the "only hope" for EVOs, causing her to become something of a serious threat to the public, especially Providence. Despite this, Circe is far from being heartless, as she was also trying her best in helping other EVOs from being targeted.
This blinded outlook of hers soon changes when she met Rex, a fellow EVO who despite working with Providence, proves to be genial towards her, which made her more openly kindhearted than before despite her alliance with Kleiss. This, in turn, is what partly made her slowly reconsider her alliance with Kleiss' Pack, in which she later realized that their leader is only using numerous EVOs like her as a means to his own end, eventually resigning herself from his group from such selfish cause. As an atonement of hers, she chose to be with Rex's Hong Kong gang instead of joining Providence, given her history with the organization.
All in all, Circe is a no-nonsense girl who truly has a heart of gold for others, most notably Rex himself.
