Clapper the Seal is a Animal Friend who appears in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and it's mini-sequel Donkey Kong Land 2. He is a seal who uses his ability to regulate water temperatures to help the Kongs on their adventures.

Appareance

Clapper is a seal who has has shiny gray fur with beige skin around his mouth, a black round nose, eight long black whiskers and two large black eyes.

History

Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest

Clapper assists the Kongs on their adventure to save Donkey Kong on Crocodile Island. He only appears in the levels Lava Lagoon and Clapper's Cavern, and unlike other Animal Buddies he is not found inside an Animal Crate. Clapper can instead be found making noise near bodies water as he waits patiently for the heroes to find him so he can adjust the water's temperature. In the Crocodile Cauldron level Lava Lagoon, jumping on Clapper will make him cool down the boiling hot water, making it temporarily safe for swimming. And later in the K. Rool Keep level Clapper's Cavern, Clapper will freeze the water solid for a short time which will allow the Kongs to sprint across its surface.

Donkey Kong Land 2

Clapper returns in this game serving the same purpose as it's predecessor.
